Yeah, that's the approach the rest of Europe took when northern Italy had the hot spot. Now it's a serious pandemic all over Europe. The same would happen across the states in our country.

and where were the tests required your track and contain the virus before it got out of hand? Was De Blasio to use his own urine as a testing reagent? If he didnt know who was infected, how would he know if he there is a potential pandemic at hand?

Those cuntries were testing and tracking the virus as early as Janauary, while a more than a month later, Trump was still peddling falsehood for his own selfish interests and sayiing the virus would miraculously disappear.

He is just trolling. They are trying to protect Trump so need to point the finger at whomever.

First it's China, and then it's the WHO, now it's NYC's fault. When the virus is hitting the other major cities it will be the Dems fault. And finally, when they run out of excuses and it's even hitting rural parts of the country, they will blame the blacks and hispanics.

    This is their MO.

What exactly did those cities do better than NYC? And why is mayor at fault in your book - does mayor have epidemiologists at his disposal or is it the president who does (along with CDC and the rest of the agencies that are meant to protect New Yorkers just as much as they are meant to protect you (I'm assuming you are from Texas))?

Here is Tokyo mayor a few days back:

"Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike has called for the government to make a decision, Abe said Wednesday there was no need to declare an emergency at this point"

Your weak ass leader has taught you well how to deflect blame by now. Congrats

Because in WI, getting republican votes is more important than protecting citizens lives...

In reading the nonsense that is so often posted here by the outrage brigade, I feel the need to share some wisdom and guidance.

I'll lean on a couple great books:
    1. Outwitting the devil, by Napoleon Hill: Drifters let themselves be tossed around in life and allow externals to dominate their minds. They go nowhere because they're not using their brains to think. This appropriately describes many of the liberals on this board. Like sheep, they watch the hysteria in the news media, and the media is adept at persuading them and influencing them. They get fully caught up in this, and run from one outrage to the next.

    2. 177 Mental Toughness secrets, by Steve Siebold. This book talks about how to think like the "world class" as opposed to "middle class". A few of the key points:
    1. The Middle Class avoids risk . . . the World Class manages risk.
    2. The Middle Class lives in delusion . . . the World Class lives in objective reality.
    3. The Middle Class loves to be comfortable . . . the World Class is comfortable being uncomfortable
    4. The Middle Class hungers for security . . . the World Class doesn’t believe security exists.
    5. The Middle Class sacrifices growth for safety . . . the World Class sacrifices safety for growth.
    6. The Middle Class operates out of fear and scarcity . . . the World Class operates from love and….abundance.

I encourage the liberals to A) not let externals dominate their minds and B) think more like the world class, and less like the go-nowhere middle class.

Fox News doctor says it’s time for COVID-19 patients to ‘come off’ ventilators: ‘Either survive or die’

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier on Sunday said COVID-19 patients would soon need to be removed from ventilators even if they cannot breathe on their own.

“There’s going to be more deaths this coming week,” Saphier said on Fox & Friends. “The reason I try and explain that to people is although our rates of hospitalization are going down, that is a good thing.”

“But we’re going to start seeing more deaths,” she continued. “Because the people that are having to be in the ICU on the ventilators, they are being kept on the ventilators from anywhere one to four weeks.”

Saphier argued that “at some point, they will have to come off the ventilators.”

“And they’re either going to survive or they’re either going to die,” she added. “Some of the mortality rates coming out of China are ranging from 60 to 90% of people on the ventilators [who die]. Thankfully, here in the United States, that number varies.”

The source article is as misleading as any Rupert Murdoch owned news outlet. That's not she said. Patients will need to come off ventilators at some point otherwise their lungs will atrophy.

Definitely a case of the world class sacrificing safety for growth. We should all think like that!

Odd... interesting that a millionaire is the best source of advice on how middle class people think and live. And that people don't become rish simply because they don't want it enough.

    Also, your other author?

Failed business ventures and charges of fraud
Hill relocated to Mobile, Alabama in 1907 and co-founded the Acree-Hill Lumber Company. In October 1908, the newspaper The Pensacola Journal reported that the company was liable to bankruptcy proceedings and charges of mail fraud. The newspaper reported that Hill's lumber company had bought lumber from outside Mobile, including other counties in Alabama and even from Florida, before it sold the lumber "at a much lower price and so far as known at this time have made no returns".[12]

During May 1909, Hill relocated to Washington D.C. and initiated the "Automobile College of Washington", where he instructed students to build, chauffeur and sell motor cars.[13] The college assembled cars for the Carter Motor Corporation, which declared bankruptcy during early 1912. During April 1912, the automobile magazine Motor World accused Hill's college of being a scam relying upon on misleading marketing materials that would be "a joke to anyone of average intelligence".[14] Hill's automobile college ended its business later that year.

During June 1910, while managing his automobile college, Hill married his first wife, Florence Elizabeth Horner.[15] The couple had their first child together, James, during 1911, a second child named Napoleon Blair during 1912, and a third son, David, during 1918.[16] After his automobile college ended, Hill relocated to Lumberport, West Virginia with his wife's family. He later relocated to Chicago and accepted a job with the LaSalle Extension University before co-initiating a candy business that he named the Betsy Ross Candy Shop.[17]

During September 1915, Hill established and served as the dean of a new school in Chicago, the "George Washington Institute of Advertising", where he intended to teach the principles of success and self-confidence. On June 4, 1918, the Chicago Tribune reported that the state of Illinois had issued two warrants for the arrest of Hill, who was charged with violating blue sky laws for fraudulently attempting to sell shares of his school with a $100,000 capitalization, despite the school's assets only being appraised at $1200.[18] The school ended soon afterwards.

Later in his life, Hill would say that he spent this time advising president Woodrow Wilson amidst World War I.[19]

After the end of the George Washington Institute, Hill embarked on various other business ventures. He initiated several personal magazines, including Hill's Golden Rule and Napoleon Hill's Magazine. During 1922, Hill also initiated the Intra-Wall Correspondence School, a charitable foundation intended to provide educational materials to prisoners in Ohio. The foundation was directed by, among others, the check forger and former convict Butler Storke, who was later himself to be sent back to prison during 1923.[20] According to Hill's official biography, this period was also when hundreds of documents associating Hill with various famous figures were destroyed in a Chicago storage fire.[21]

I originally thought this tweet was implying that the government forced MA to sell the shipment that the Krafts helped with. For anyone else thinking that, that doesn't appear to be the case but rather was what led to the governor requesting help from the Krafts.

Either way this and the other example earlier from the county in New Jersey are examples of the fed saying one thing and doing another. Trump says the states should be securing supplies on their own and not relying on the feds and then when they manage to do so they get taken away for federal use / dispersal anyway.

Trump 'severely mentally troubled' and must resign from coronavirus response, mental health group warns
World Mental Health Coalition urges president's impeachment or resignation for 'dangerous detachment to reality' that is making pandemic worse

Donald Trump is "so severely mentally troubled that he is a great danger to our nation" and must be removed from office, according to a group of international mental health professionals calling for the president to resign or for the "complete removal" of his decision-making powers leading the White House response to the coronavirus pandemic.

I wouldn’t trust her to give guidance on when extubation should be happening.

Isn't that the truth. An out of touch with reality crazy narcissist with so much power is not only dangerous to our own country, but to the rest of the world. Time to put aside political convictions and face the truth. He needs to go.

The sad part is, even if he left tomorrow, his lack of early action has created such a mess that even a competent replacement couldn't fix before far too many die. Then Trump would belittle and blast his replacement 50 times a day on Twitter. Boy how I wish they would just close his Twitter and Facebook accounts. That would send him over the edge for sure.
