The article says they never got the masks. Sounds like the Feds got hold of the vendor before the transaction with the county was finalized - this is according to the vendor though, need more details.
Update on the way the feds are using "their" stockpile So apparently states are buying it on their own from private industry at much higher prices - 10x or 20x more. And Trump is saying we are not a shipping clerk. Kushner calls it "his stockpile", and the admin says they are providing it to private industry. So essentially, Kushner is profiting by selling it at higher prices to Trump's buddies who then sell it to the states maximizing profits and helping Trump profit off of this - off of our taxes. This is why he doesn't want oversight - because it will cost the Trump family billions.
