And no NFL team will trade in good faith with the Texans again. If they find something in the physical, the Cards will add another draft pick or something. Hopkins is gone and is not coming back.

That's the BIG hole in that more money argument. When you've guaranteed a broken down over the hill RB David Johnson $10 million and washed up Randall Cobb, who's on his 3rd team in 3 years, $18 million, how did you save money?

What's kind of funny is that nobody was willing to trade trade 2 first round picks for Laremy Tunsil just so they could turn around and pay him $20 million either. Except the Texans.

The main argument for why the Texans didn't get a premium return for either Clowney or Hopkins (because the receiving team would have to give out a new large contract in addition to giving up trade assets) is exactly what the Texans did with Tunsil.

Exactly and now they have to pay him and Deshaun. There are far too many idiots here that think Billy traded Hop for fun. **** my son has three Hop jerseys and will continue to wear them but this is a business, you can't win in the nfl without a legitimate qb. This team has never had a qb like Watson, they're going to have to pay him market value probably very soon and you also gotta keep him upright. You can't invest 75 million a year on three players on one side of the ball, why do you think the cowboys just signed Aldon Smith, they're bargain shopping because they're already in cap hell and then they gave Cooper 5yrs/100 mil, all of a sudden you're starting to hear Jalen Hurts rumors instead of Dak getting his money. At the end of the day it comes down to Hop or Deshaun. I would've chosen Deshaun and I'm happy Billy chose Deshaun. If Deshaun is half of what we think he is, then he's probably going to have his best season next season.

That deal with Tunsil should've been done before he hit the field last year, which is why you need a GM. Deshaun is going to have ALOT of coverage sacks & a rise in picks next year. They've wasted so much money in other places it's hard to buy the frugal argument.

it’s not the logic of trading d-hop that’s the problem, it’s what we got in return. We got a running back that sucked last year and hasn’t been healthy in years we have to pay 10+ mill that Arizona was BEGGING TO DUMP BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO REPLACE HIM WITH ANOTHER RUNNING BACK, and no first rounders. We can be fans and HATE WHAT WE GOT BACK.

Tunsil did not want to sign last year. How many times do we have to say that? He was waiting I’m on the CBA.

Difference? Tunsil is a LT on a rookie contract, 24 at the time of the trade. You get 2 years and the franchise tag option. Franchise LT NEVER become available on their rookie contracts. You pay a LT $20 million because he can be on your team for 10 years and never lose anything.

Hopkins wants $20/$22 million a year, around $65 million guaranteed. Cobb and Johnson are much less than that in guarantees. Big difference.

Sht Gm and Sht coach, we aren't going to go anywhere, wasting Watson's career. Suppose to give your QB superior wr not trade them away for sht and replace them with second tier wr.

You don't do the deal then without knowing the final cost. Again they need a GM that has a clue.

Not true. You have Tunsil for 2 season before he is a Free Agent and then you can use the Franchise Tag. Pro Bowl Left Tackles DO NOT become available at that age. You do that deal....especially if you have a huge hole at LT. You worry about signing later. You have an idea what the cost will be. It was always going to be $19-$20 million a year.

How about having a front office ( Not one power hungry mediocre HC) competent enough to identify a LT in the draft and get one that way? This instead of throwing away draft picks and being held hostage by a guy who can't figure out the snap count from one play to the next.

Hmmm. Actually they did. Howard looks like the real deal. However, O'Brien saw the opportunity to add Tunsil, who was going to be a top 3 pick before the Gas Mask video. Add that to Howard (on the Right), Scharping, and Nick Martin....you have your Offensive line for years.

As for Tunsil, he made the Pro Bowl...even with the false starts.

Nick Martin is average and Waay overpaid. Howard was ok but has to stay healthy & Scharping is decent but at least they are cheap.Tunsil is not a smart football player. First you have the gas mask incident prior to the draft ( with millions on the line) and when you couple that with the fact that he can't remember the snap count from the huddle to the line of scrimmage, I'm not sure I'd overpay for him too. ( Even though they have to now). How many drives is he going to kill because he is too dim to remember the freakin snap count? You can't GIVE away 5 yards in a game of inches. Pro Bowl or not Dumb & undisciplined players cost you games and this is the guy the Texans are dying to pay. Typical Obrien.

Im tired of arguing with idiots. You are idiot.

Go ahead, **** on everything because u hate BoB. Go find another team.

O'Brien isn't going anywhere for atleast 2 seasons. You might as well go root for the Saints or Cowboys.
