wow, a.c. green, Iron Man, who played 1192 consecutive games, n 1278 outta 1281 in career. only missed 3. Street Beef always one of my favorite players untill joining Inside The NBA on TNT. I ws soooooooo fascinated the way he collecting boards. Zion is an upgraded ver of chuck, with more 3ball.
no, blowing 3-1 to Sonics ere winning in 7 cost them v Utah. Blowing big lead in Game 6 was unforgivable ere the great bear hug.
KJ wouldn’t heed Chuckster’s pleas to suit up one more time. That dadgum Ed knee when our point guard finally started to figure it out.
The round mound of rebound is one of my favorite players guy was undersized but played extremely physical and banged against dudes 6-7 inches taller than him he was ferocious on the boards and would elbow his mama to get a rebound
He was extremely strong. This whole Draymond vs Barkley thing is not even close. Draymond can't box him out. Dude we had Shaq on Barkley in the paint!
If Chuck didn't get injured against the Utah Jazz, they would have been beaten. He was giving Karl Malone a really tough time. We ended up with Othella 'my fella" Harrington on Karl Malone.
Indeed. Rudy should have used Mario Elie more often on the flopper/elbower Stockton. Karl couldn't pull his dirty tricks on Chuck.
And it would not get called 999 out of 1000 times. Of course that grand thousandth whistle woulda been blown against TheGoodGuys (alas). That game was seemingly won. That series was seriously blown; and that occurred by not finishing off The PreThunder in 5. For my own reasons, as well as specific Rox fandom ones, that game hurt deep then, hurts deep today.
I've always wondered about how we would have faired if we had not made the Barkley trade, and signed Kevin Willis. Barkley was one of my favorite players in his Sixers days, but he was far from that as a Rocket. I always thought that giving up Cassell, Horry, and even Elie was too much. Losing Cassell and starting Maloney was never a good idea imo. Defensively Harrington did a better job vs Malone than Barkley. I don't remember Barkley even slowing the mailman down. I'll have to go back and check the stats, but I remember Malone killing us when Barkley had to guard him.
Have any of you forgotten we got swept by Seattle the year before? Have any of you forgotten Charles played hurt in that series? Have any of you forgotten Charles was the last person before Harden who got us to the conference finals? Yeah losing Cassell and Horry was hard, but they wanted big contract. Stockton mismatch was the biggest issue against Utah.
