Artest was great that year and became one of my favorite players. I was really looking forward to him resigning in the offseason but he went to LA and the Rockets signed Ariza. Just imagine if Artest was on this version of the Rockets. His game would be great next to PJ and RoCo. Those 3 would be the best defense in the league right now.

Great times. Right before broke boy Tilman decided to ruin the team to save a couple bucks.

Had Luc & Cp3 not gone down with injuries, this would have been the best Rockets team in history and likely one of the best teams in basketball history given the number of wins and who they had to beat to win a chip

Artest or Worldpeace's athleticism was about to decline that time, he was still a monster on both ends but not explosive.

I always preferred if he directly joined a contender after being a Pacer.

Sactown was the wrong choice, same as Cousins.

Sac town has wasted a lot of careers over the past 15-20 years. They have had a number of really talented players over that time but has failed to put it all together.

    Agreed.
Westbrook best season was the lost to the heat in finals.

Westbrook put 40+ on dwade, LeBron, and Bosh. 40+ on three hall of famers. Didnt get much better than that in a losing effort. LeBron fouled Durant at the end of game 2, yet refs overlooked a 'two handed push' from LeBron.

For Westbrook, that heat series could have swung if okc won that overtime game where Westbrook scored 40+ in a overtime loss!

Agree 100% because harden is crafty enough to get the mid range game with a big post threat kinda how Cassell got his mid-range plays with olujuwon and Tim Thomas / Elton brand with clippers in playoff situations.

That was the year guys. It slipped away with a hamstring injury and horrible officiating.

Remeber when GG hit that buzzer beater against Phoenix I just felt that no could stop us. We were so close =(.

As crazy as it sounds, I think the come back against the Clippers cast with that next level state of mind is better than the 2017-18 roster. J Smoove was locked on defense as well Brewer and both were knocked down shooters from the three, got to the rim and great passers. Terry was also the same Rockets killer but in a Rockets uniform... Brewer and Smith blocked shots and got steals as well as being quick as a motha... At that very moment no team could beat that combination period...

nope. that team wasn't even close and it went on to get destroyed by a lesser GS team.
