He looks obese, but agreed, it seems an overweight 25 y/o should survive.

Let's not condemn all overweight and slightly obese peeps just yet.

    Not all have model figures.

We've known for years that being overweight is unhealthy.

I'm not saying heavier individuals are bad people because Lord knows I have my flaws.

Just saying overweight/obese has been a factor acknowledged during this situation.

I miss the good ol' days when the only thing I had to worry about my money being contaminated with was cocaine.

I'm still spooked by this. Articles I've read has said eating the virus will end up in an inactive state once it hits stomach acid.

I think the writers are assuming transmission is more likely to come in the containers/packaging and how it can spread from hands to elsewhere. Buy a lot of disposable gloves?

The lack of real scientific facts is the frustrating part. We are all taking part in a grand lab experiment at this point. No results so far.

In fairness, viruses are not living things. Most food borne illnesses are living things like bacteria and parasites.

If you eat it you will not get infected.
If you have touched the infected food though and touch you face with dirty hands then you will get infected.

Literally messaging one of my friends in China right now who is a teacher. They start school back April 1st and things go back to “normal” 100%.

    Great to know.

However, one's mouth has TWO pipes -- one to the stomach and one to the lungs.

Hopefully 'stomach' is THE pipe while eating.

    ;)

All the more reason to test him as he was in the high risk group.

the logic behind high test rate leading to lower fatality rate makes sense... in that there are much less undiagnosed cases...

but I still don’t fully understand how it leads to Slower spread overall that much? The article talks about how people in Berlin are still out and about a lot. And the whole country has still only tested half a million or so. Surely there are asymptomatic untested carriers continuing to spread the virus then just like everywhere else?

i guess the slightly symptomatic folks were tested early on though and therefor were isolated better early on, and catching those early on really goes a long way when you’re talking exponential growth?

But you gotta have enough tests to do that ;)

We all know WHY there's not enough.

I know what you are saying but slimming down takes time and willpower.

I think there might be a faster loophole for those people.

Not panicking and avoid social contact is a good start.

The government is trying to avoid being overthrown by its citizens at the expense of the truth. You know, normal CCP ****.

I know it's awful but also kind of hilarious. I imagine if Hugh Hefner were still alive, he'd probably be doing similar in the Playboy mansion.

I saw a story yesterday where a 40 year old died from Covid-19, and they were saying how he was in excellent shape, etc...he had hypertension tho

15 years in jail if you criticize him (lese majesty). Even if you do it online (Facebook, Clutchfans , etc), they somehow discover who you are, and years later travel to Thailand, they will arrest upon every.

His father (who passed away in 2018) was a great man. Longest living monarch

EDIT: I'm not saying that I would rat you out, I'm just saying that if the Thai government tracked you down. And yes, they have a whole division within their government to track down lese majesty things
