[Philidelphia 76ers] Possible interest in D'Antoni and Morey

Shortsighted. Morey gave us the 09 and 18 rosters which both lost in 7 to champs because of rotation injuries.

But maybe we won't have another shot until 2027.

Sounds like a nightmare, especially while it occurred to ya that all ya got used to complaining about and targeting at, seem gonna vanish suddenly.

 

The only thing stopping the cheap b*stard from firing Morey is knowing there's no better GM in the league at creatively saving money.

Having said that, as much as I think Morey is one of the best GM's in the NBA, at some point you have to try something new. No title in James Harden's career must be considered a failure, and Harden has lost to a less talented team once in his entire career. Give him the firepower, he wins. With just Chris Paul he brought the most talented team in history to its knees. Shame.

 

Enjoy these last few years. Harden and Morey are all that's left until it's the Tilman show.

 

James was not slowing the pace, it was Chris. Our pace was third in the league, the year before. Dantoni can absolutely adjust to the Sixers. Embid just has to be more of a playmaker.

Don’t agree. Morey is great in every way his system works it came a Chris Paul away from a championship. There’s no gimmicks to the season. I would never fire him

Coaches with obvious flaws have won titles.

Statistically Brad Stevens will probably never win a title.

I could come up with some flaw he has and proclaim he will never win because of it.

Odds are I will be right he will never win. But it will have little or nothing to do with the flaw.

MDA has proven he is capable and he might not ever win one. Stevens appears to have proven he is capable, he may or may not ever win one.

 

Id love to take embiid off their hands. Harden and Embiid would be make for an absurd duo. Unstoppable pick and roll or pick and pop from 3.
