The carts at Central Market GLISTEN with freshly applied antibacterial. There are automated hand sanitizer dispensers every few feet.

    BUT.

You still have to press the buttons on the produce pricer (wear gloves).

And you STILL have to rely on lower paid human beings to do and care about their jobs in a time of crisis (good luck). These are not doctors or trained health professionals or even professional janitors/cleaners.

So... yeah. They're trying to keep things safe. But let's be honest here.

If this was the FLU they'd be doing a great job. But this isn't the flu.

It does in fact seem the very MOMENT they punted the Olympics, they magically started taking measures to combat spread.

If you're looking for paper towels now, 3.27.20, it's already too late for you. Better spend your time on the DIY ventilator YouTube channel.

Vital signs include the measurement of: temperature, respiratory rate, pulse, blood pressure and, where appropriate, blood oxygen saturation. These numbers provide critical information (hence the name "vital") about a patient's state of health. In particular, they: ... The more deranged the vitals, the sicker the patient.

You will get an actual reading to see how your respiratory system is doing.

Like I said yesterday, we are shooting straight up! At this rate, we will have millions of infections because I don't even see a curve, let alone a curve that must be flattened.

Is it possible to have little-to-no symptoms but still register vitals that are considered "deranged (lulz)"? I am guessing no. But it seems like the disease sometimes "sleeps" and then abruptly you begin to deteriorate.

Numbers everywhere are low . The US numbers are comically low, probably. A couple of days ago, the US had administered more tests than probably any country in the world at around 500,000. There are almost 330 million people in the US. So all the numbers you see are a very small subset of what could really be happening out there. Well, except for maybe the deaths and hospital ICU overcrowding starting to ramp up. Just stay inside.

Actually this is the advice pneumonologists here give to risky groups.
It is an easy to read alarm bell that you need to go to the hospital NOW. That your lungs can't cope well and you need to get oxygen.

However the quantity of oxymeters is not enough for everyone to buy, that's why old people, immunosuppressed, asthmatics etc are the ones who should have priority.

You can also count the amount of breaths you have in a minute.
If it is near 20 you need to go to the hospital. (if someone is stressed , in panic the number of breaths also go up of course)
But if someone has high fever I don't know how well they can do it.

Other things if you have laboured breath, if you can't walk and you are out of breath => dyspnea => go to a hospital.

*All these provided you have fever coughs and other symptoms.

We have already seen many examples with people following the CDC advice and waiting then to talk to their doctor over the telephone, leads to many people dying in their house. I say don't wait and just straight go to a hospital.

At this point in time with such widespread community spread, 99% chances you are already infected with Covid19 anyway.

Fyi for anyone wanting an oximeter. Only place I could find it online from reputable seller is Home Depot. $67 which is probably double the normal price.

    Edit

    Also homedics dot com. $50.

Also office depot. Brand: Veridian. $66. 20% off coupon 57495404

    No.
If someone has low oxygen, too many breaths, with no fever then it isn't covid19, they are having a panic attack or an asthma attack. They should call their doctor too and seek medical assistance but don't go to a hospital.
Because then you will get infected.

Because of a death of young woman with slight asthma in her house, our CDC has put firmly now asthma patients in risky groups too.

This "sleeping" stages are actually when the virus is multiplying in the cells ready to strike even worse the next days.

Not that this makes his life any less valuable (an an aside, I like their music), but a girl I know from Germany told me he's racist.

If you click on the link it has graphs about most european countries - also Belgium.

Well the amount of tests in this point is not so important since there is widespread community spread. Almost all western countries only check the people with serious symptoms/hospitalised/ icu and the healthcare workers.
I think Slovakia, or was it Moldova locked down very fast. The whole eastern europe locked down very fast because we had no delusion that our healthcare systems would be able to cope.

Now look what will happen in Sweden.
Swedes still go around having mass gatherings, boasting - we have one of the best healthcare systems in the world there is nothing to fear that we will be like Italy.

    The Dutch are already crying.

Rammstein are no racists the opposite and they have written many songs about people just looking at their music genre and assuming they are nazis.

Also the frontman was in the risky age, but he was in his youth an olympic caliber swimmer.

Looking at number of daily deaths for Covid is likely more accurate than testing to judge if curve is being flattened or not as number of positve tests is more a function of number of tests than those infected.

    And no, it hasn't flattened.
