Not true. I get your point, we should have gotten a 1st, but there’s legit future NFL starters at WR who are gonna available all throughout rounds 2-3. Hell, Tee Higgins, Denzel Mims, Justin Jefferson (unlikely), KJ Hamler, Jalen Reagor, Michael Pittman Jr, Chase Claypool and Brandon Aiyuk are all rated out as future NFL starters who all have pro-bowl upside and several of them will be available throughout the 2nd round. This year is legitimately incredibly dee at WR.
Still, I completely agree we should have gotten more for Hopkins.

In what world would this ever happen?

I agree they should've gotten more or held onto Hopkins.

So the O'Brien traded the best WR in the game away for negative value, only to give Cobb 3/4 of what Hop was set to make anyway?

I'm so done with this franchise

i get that this is a deep draft for WR's but what does that have to do with taking on David Johnson's horrible contract and trading the best wr in the league? are you saying we'll fill our gaping wr hole in the draft? i agree that will draft a wr, but i don't see how there's any silver lining to overpaying for randell cobb and trading Hopkins for pennies on the dollar. personally i can't get excited about the future because BOB has literally ruined the team.

I agree with everything you just said.

I was just replying to a post saying that because we didn’t get a 1st round pick that all the good WRs will be gone by the time we pick first (8th pick in 2nd round). Was just pointing out that there will likely still be some really solid WR options at either of our 2nd round picks.

Totally agree that OB is running this team into a very concerning direction. My post wasn’t about Johnson’s contract or anything about the trade, only about WR depth in this draft.

"The real reason I chose the Texans is because William O'Brien was offering the most money."

"Mark, the real reason I chose to sign with the Texans is because they offered me double the amount of my market value. I couldnt grab a pen fast enough, so I gave myself a paper cut with the contract itself, so they couldnt rescind it, and signed it with blood"

I actually think Cobb will have a decent year but you cant replace Hop. Add Randall to the team and Keep Hop then u give your franchise qb 3 legit weapons at wr.

That's all nice and well but Asschin is your coach.

"Cobb also mentioned about Dallas and how they got him healthy. He found out when he was there he had weak hamstrings in their mind. They strengthened those up and he was able to be healthy. He said this is the healthiest he's felt in 5-6 years. "

Those hamstrings about go back out. William Fuller, Keke, Randall all gonna be in training room together. :D

Maybe Cobb can teach WFV how to keep his hamstrings healthy. BTW, Watson and Rodgers have about as much in common as Trump and Schiff do.

Johnson's contract isn't bad after next yr.

This team is far from ruined.
