It's super likely that Johnson was a guy who just got hot at the right moment, under the right system and coach, he's only had one great year... If we got Gurley and a 1st round draft pick I think a lot more people would be alright with the trade. I'd still disagree with it because I think you are better off drafting a RB or finding one off FA.
he's had chances at winning a ring being the alpha that he was. you're measured by hardware with context. the context of horry with rings and absolutely nothing else on his resume isn't as great as you're making it seem. steve kerr is remembered as an elite floor spacer who was able to hit a clutch shot just like horry.
