It would be great if Warren would take a vice pres nod with Biden. She can be the smart one doing the grunt work behind the scenes and making a real change every day Americans desperately need (but aren't smart enough to know). Biden would just be another puppet for corporate America to push around while they get bailed out every time they fall on tough times.

that being said, nothing helps Trumps chances like a nation and world coming out of a tragedy together.
Yes, there will be a recession and inactivity for a while, but he will have the entire 2nd half of the year to ride the wave up.. it's unfortunate for America, but corona has guaranteed another 4 yrs of Trump. he does as good a job as a modern day president can at effectively managing tragedies like natural disasters and unnatural chinese disasters.

Except the whole botched testing fiasco that very much will unnecessarily accelerate the growth of the virus in the States.

How has he done a good job managing tragedies. Wtf. Are we literally watching the same president speak on tv? He’s already labeled it as a democratic hoax once and said it wasn’t a big deal multiple times. You or I would be much better at this. I know nothing about you but most humans would be better at managing this compared to him

It will be fun to watch trump supporters heads explode when he announces a slew of corporate bailouts in the next few weeks much like the coal industry and farm bailouts he has already done...

The primary is over. Now is just finding a way for Sanders to leave gracefully.

That said Biden still needs to continue to feel like his back is against the wall. All of the criticisms of Biden as being goofy and forgetful still applies. It's only when it looked like he might be done that he started get better. The general election isn't going to be easy and even with all that has happened Trump still has a lot of support and a lot of those people aren't going to abandon him even if COVID 19 ends up as bad as some of us fear and if COVID doesn't end up as bad he will relentlessly pound the idea that he was solely responsible for getting us through this.

    Biden just making stuff up...

“Look, the World Health Organization offered the testing kits that they have available and to give it to us now. We refused them. We did not want to buy them. We did not want to get them from them. We wanted to make sure we had our own.”

Bernie needs to drop out so we do not have an issue with primary elections in the next couple months.

He's been horrible at managing this? He's claimed it was a hoax, given out wrong information about his own plans, had already disbanded the pandemic response office, claimed that the buck didn't stop with him, claimed that it was already on the way out, claimed that the warm weather would get rid of it.

He's done a horrible job just as he did with hurricane relief. He isn't competent and refuses to appoint or gets rid of anyone who is qualified and capable.

His lies caused his blind followers to believe it wasn't a big deal, and now that he has reversed course and caused his blind followers like @bigtexxx to look silly and ignorant all because they followed his 'leadership'

Trump has caused this country to be fully UNPREPARED, the general populace will want to know why he cut the CDC, why he was downplaying this, as more and more die, more and more blood will be on his hands.

Trump is over - and those that were stupid enough to follow him can go back to hiding in their racist shadows.

Just lol. This is so intellectually dishonest that there's no point in really responding with the overwhelming evidence of how trump has screwed us all.

It's a bit more complex than that. WHO had testing kits as far back as January. We chose to make our own and botched the process. We didn't ask WHO for them and so WHO never offered them - but we could have, and it would have gotten us to mass testing much quicker than our disastrous process.

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/us-coronavirus-test/

This resulted in a bevy of accusations that the U.S. “shunned” or “refused” working tests available from WHO even as its own testing protocols fell short. As the BBC reported, “The US declined to use a test approved by the World Health Organization in January — instead, the CDC developed its own coronavirus test. However, there were manufacturing defects with the initial CDC tests which meant many of the results were inconclusive.”

    ...

In an interview with CNN on March 12, 2020, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, stated that it would have been “nice to have” the WHO tests as a back-up to the CDC’s tests, but characterized it as a case of hindsight being 20/20.

    ...

Although Trump’s political opponents and some media sources accused his administration of “refusing” to use the WHO test, Fauci’s comment and various credible news reports on the topic indicate that the CDC has a standard procedure for handling diagnostic tests during an outbreak, and that protocol doesn’t include using tests provided by WHO (or any other external organization). We therefore rate this claim “Mixture.”
