Maybe the only positive to come from Covid19.

I get all that, especially the cash flow drop in most of his businesses.
I'm just saying that his mostly illiquid assets still have very high (cash) value despite being difficult & lengthy to sell. I would even guess he has at least $100 million liquid cash (personal cash, not business cash). Just a hunch.

He’s about to be bringing in essential zero in revenue from all of his businesses and he’s leveraged up to his eyeballs. If this thing drags out into June or July he’s completely toast. Seriously- he will be insolvent.

You have an extremely hyperbolic perception on how the wealthy keep their money.

    Someone worth 4-5 billion

That's only 2% of his net worth sitting in a money market account or similar.

Anywhere from 80-100 million. Chump change.

That's like someone with a $500k net worth having 10 grand in cash.

I mentioned it was my hunch. If I'm wrong I bet he has 40-50 mill in cash sheltered from the market and separate from business assets.

It's not an outrageous amount for a multi billionaire to have.

You seriously think a billionaire is not going to shelter significant assets from the market and from their business assets?

    Ok, right. My bad.

He only has 250 grand in cash.

If you got 3,000 people to each put in a million dollars, that should be enough. Or you could find a million people to put in $3,000.

I would be in for $3K

I can't believe you can't understand the significant difference between 250 grand and 100 million.
Again, dude. 4-5 Billion is his NET worth. He's got absolutely nowhere near that in cash. He just bought Del Frisco's for 650 million (which I can guarantee he had to move assets in order to purchase) Landry's and his Casino businesses & the Rockets are easily worth 4 billion. Where's all that cash? What bank is insuring Tilman $100mil?

Multiple cash management accounts that spread funds among multiple banks providing more than $250k of FDIC ins in a single acct.. CDs held in multiple domestic and international banks (Swiss bank accounts). Precious metals, crypto, safe, under his mattress.

He's got millions (liquid/semi liquid) at his disposal and he's not broke. That's my point.

Right on! Tilman be rich. So he needs to help out his hourly employee.

Tilamn is worth $5 billion, he can afford to give $1 million to help his hourly employee at these tough economic time. His hourly employee could be homeless by now, but $1 million to Tilman is like 10 cents to us, because Tilman is RICH!!!

With the benefit of hindsight, Les timed it perfectly when he sold the franchise.
