Except Hopkins is already an established All-Pro...

This is honestly the only way this trade is a win...if Hopkins has some bad past that is about to catch up with him then you basically lose nothing as he wouldn't even be able to play for you any ways.

That is literally the only thing that could salvage this trade if he has some rape case or something bad about to pop up and they knew about it.

And here I thought Clayton Williams had died... Well done.

I'm flabbergasted by the trade. Who else is going to jump ship?

And knowing Hopkins persona and character, I highly doubt this to be the case anyways.

From what I understand of the new CBA, so what. He doesn't benefit from holding out like others before him.

He is still under contract and you ride out at least ONE more year of his two years... trade when his value is high. Not like it isn't already we just don't have leadership in place that values talent properly.

Nah, season ending injury, incipient really bad paper inbound on DHop, something like that, and I can see why they did it.

But what likely happened is DHop wanted to redo his deal, BoB wants worker bees above everything else, and BoB wanted to flex nuts. Which he can do, since no one can tell him, "No. Don't do that, idiot."

    Reader packed his bags yet?

Stupid has no boundaries with the Texans. How about trading Watson for Ryan Leaf?

    Not the Patriot Way.
When other teams with young, cheap QBs work to surround him with help ... let's trade ours.
When RBs have short shelf life and maybe most or easily replaceable ... let's keep trading high picks for them. Trade for David, trade for Carlos, trade for Duke...

    I just...I don't know.

So apparently Johnson wasn't injured last season, just clashed with Kingsbury so at least we won't have to worry about him rehabbing before learning the plays. So we now have a pass catching every down back. I hope they go after Antonio Brown

Everyone saying Nuk wanted to leave.. so what? Does that mean we trade him for nothing? I bet you there are fans out there pissed at their own teams for not offering more than what we just got. This is absolutely baffling.

Texans were lucky have had a Andre and/or Hopkins for 17 years. We've been spoiled. Sucks that we wasted 3 years looking for a legit QB (post-Schaub) and 2 seasons finding a legit LT (post-Brown) and now we have to waste more time finding another legit #1 WR. And we probably didn't even get a legit starting RB out of it.
