Just saw in the news that Trump flew yesterday in Air Force one with one of the Congressmen now in self quarantine. Trump has no plans to get tested.

Futures have risen by 4% overnight along with crude oil prices rising. Look for a rally today.

The conservative media is doubling down on two tropes as of yesterday.
    1. The virus is an impeachment Scam (idiots!)
    2. The virus is because of China and should be called the Chinese Corona Virus or the Wuhan Flu (because why not score some points in the xenophobia arena?) despite it having a WHO name for the new virus — SARS CoV 2 and disease COVID-19.

I swear US conservatives should never be allowed near the levers of power again. They ruin everything they touch and have done so for generations.

Naming it Wuhan Virus is sensible... diseases are commonly named after where they originate. Nothing about that is bad. Trying to politicize it for demonizing China, or defending China in such an over reactive way, is really not helping though.

Sometime it’s interesting to look back... The view and the strategy in 2009 is 'it's a marathon'. At least in some part, I think the Trump admin might have the same view.... now, why can't we do that this time? Or can we ?

Responding to what some health officials feared could be the leading edge of a global pandemic emerging from Mexico, American health officials declared a public health emergency on Sunday as 20 cases of swine flu were confirmed in this country, including eight in New York City.

    ...

The emergency declaration in the United States lets the government free more money for antiviral drugs and give some previously unapproved tests and drugs to children. One-quarter of the national stockpile of 50 million courses of antiflu drugs will be released.

Border patrols and airport security officers are to begin asking travelers if they have had the flu or a fever; those who appear ill will be stopped, taken aside and given masks while they arrange for medical care.

This is moving fast and we expect to see more cases,” Dr. Richard Besser, acting director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said at the news conference with Ms. Napolitano. “But we view this as a marathon.”

He advised Americans to wash their hands frequently, to cover coughs and sneezes and to stay home if they felt ill; but he stopped short of advice now given in Mexico to wear masks and not kiss or touch anyone. He praised decisions to close individual schools in New York and Texas but did not call for more widespread closings.

Hahaha, if anybody has to deal with that level of stupid to distract him from his day job of poisoning the Republic it is that sack of last year's potatoes that is Billy Barr. Look for him to develop a cough when it's time to deliver this idiotic report and be not able to go to the White House that day.

good lord. Our hospitals are going to get clobbered but the world’s thinnest skinned POS wants to control his ratings. Would be funny if I didn’t have elderly vulnerable people I love.

Public health doesn't equal national health emergency.

Ahh, I see bigtexx is being trumply by doubling down on dumb... again, did Obama wait until 1,000+ people died?

I know, President Obama lives rent-free in your mind and any time you need to defend the embarrassing things trump says and does, your first thought is "I need to distract... what can I blame on Obama?" But note that two days after the 20 cases were reported Obama's admin was already working on a funding request, initially $1.5B and a month later raised another $2B and eventually raised to $7.7B total.

    Details on funding: http://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2009/06/obama-seeks-more-funds-novel-flu-fight

You need to get your programming/instructions from based Tucker Carlson - not Hannity. Hannity is what's causing you to be a stupid dumbass.
