NBA finals? Is Tilman a dumber person from the beginning? or Morey becomes so dumber in each year because of aging?
Morey was great in first few years as a GM, and he becomes bad in each year later on by trading all the picks to catch up GS. This year, he somehow is a joke, this small ball will suck a big time.
Both Tilman and Morey had Championship expectation in October......., and now everyone is worried about the second round playoffs.
Selection bias and recency bias. That "only play is chucking 3's " lead us to a 65-17 record two seasons ago.
Think folks, if this were true, it'd be todays NBA headline along with the LAC/LAL game. Talking heads all on FS1, ESPN, TNT would be talking about whether it is fair that MDA be fired. Since no one with any credibility is talking about this, that means there is no credibility to it.
It's time for a coaching change. MDA doesn't coach good defense. Never has, never will. Those two full seasons under Bzdelik were alright. Especially this year it seems like MDA has mailed it in. The team's play reflects that. He knows he's likely gone after this season anyway.
Yup, as a lame duck he has no motivation to coach his ass off. He's probably considering retirement anyway. Remember how bad our defense was to start the season? The lack of preparation showed this year from the beginning of the year. No adjustments or anything smh.
MDA did not develop the 6th to 9th man into top 10 supporting casts. There is little chance to win championships.
This would be crazy. Russell Westbrook is looking the best he has ever looked under D'Antoni. Hell, I'm not sure if I'd trust Westbrook under any other coach. I'll also add that even if D'Antoni isn't the right fit long term for this team it's highly unlikely that their performance improves with a new coach this deep into the season. I'd say it would effectively end any chance of us competing this year and if they make the decision it will signal that internally they have already given up on this season.
Remember someone named "Rocketguy" or something like that? He had his own site that had Rockets rumors and I think it was all made up? I remember scouring the Internet to confirm rumors that NBA legend Sam Mack was returning to the Rockets. Fun memories.
absolutley too late now , unless he’s just completely lost the lockeroom and is treated like a joke -which, I don’t think is the case. hopefully harden can get a little hotter , our ball movement can tick up with turnovers going down , and for the love of God a role player hits a shot. there ARE problems with our defense , but despite the hot start we are only 10 games in with totally new personell and a different strategy. That’s to be expected . If effort slips or we get tired or we go cold ... we could be on the wrong end of blowouts , like we have been. this stretch doesn’t effect our ceiling unless someone is hurt. We already knew the floor could be bad. We’ve seen a harden 1-18 and Russ have bad games before . When you count on individual volume like that , that’s what can happen. can Russ and james overcome ? Can MDA create a strategy that gives them more options and doesn’t rely on them as much ? I think MDA needs to encourage James to go for the step back 2 . 3’s off the catch and in low shot clock situations . don’t be baited by thinking the shot is worth it’s expected value. If you make it , it’s worth 2 points . Same as a made layup or dunk . If James starts going cold on those then that’s a different story . But isn’t it an easier shot !? We do need to make adjustments . Hopefully MDA makes the right ones . I don’t think ty lue is gonna come in here and have a clue , he would let the players run it ... kinda like MDA does. we desperately need a bit more clear of a system . The guidelines of efficient looks are nice , but we need some old school nuance and ball movement/ off ball movement . We are way too static at times . Can MDA teach , does he have the knowledge , will the players be able to execute ? that’s only on offense . Our defensive strategy needs to change a bit too .
