It's literally midrange shots. The answer is so ****ing obvious. It's the reason why Westbrook is the only one who can consistently get to the rim right now. They can't just completely drop back once he breaks the 3 point line because of the threat of the stop and pop. And what's more is Harden is a deadly midrange shooter. Hey dude, you can do a step back from inside the 3 point line too!! That's literally how you started!!

    this makes perfect sense

finish his drives with a little pause and shoot instead of 3 or layup

Harden is hurt or depressed but when he does get better, implementing the sudden mid-range when the 3 or getting to the rim isn't working should be the missing part that will propell him to that last level.

I doubt. I think Houston gets 4 to 5 seeds.
Maybe harden needs to play like westbrooks to do layup for 2 points and reducing the 3 points shooting. Or buy a new center for harden to grab rebounds and play alley loop again

What about the 9-2 stretch before that included wins over Boston, LA, Jazz, etc.?

Yep, that's why I can't get confident anymore. One minute they look unstoppable, and I get so excited, and then the have a couple horrific games. I don't have much confidence anymore, and after watching them all year long I don't have confidence in our 3 pt shooting.

I wonder what these teams all have in common. Hmmm.

The Clippers weren't running everyone off the 3 point line. There were a ton of open shots. They are a good defensive team, don't get me wrong, but NBA teams get open shots against the best defenses. This is an explanation that people's brains are telling them in an attempt to understand why our team shot so poorly. Trust me, I wish I knew how professionals could all go cold from 3 at the same time.

And we've known this was an issue before; Chris Paul's midrange free-throw-line-J was money against the Jazz and Warriors.

there were open threes but more than half of our threes were rushed shots or contested. They played excellent defense.

they basically did it by not guarding wb on the perimeter and so were still able to close out on shooters. Harden having a bad game certainly played a role

I saw a lot of 3s open for Westbrook. Mda needs to teach WB.

Going to fall to 7 and get absolutely annihilated by the Clips.

    Hahaha. This made me laugh

It is now abundantly clear we are not contenders. I can’t believe last week I was fooled into thinking we have a shot of reaching the finals and winning it if we can avoid Milwaukee. I’m a fool.

It is not impossible we beat an L.A. team in a series (highly unlikely, but not impossible). But it is absolutely impossible we become a team capable of winning 4 playoff series in a row, let alone 2 in a row.

Some people just want/crave the attention.

Instead of simply posting their "incredible" opinions/thoughts on numerous other pertinent threads they instead choose to start one for no other reason other than attention seeking.
