Stick with the formula that had James scoring 37 ppg 3 shooters, a lob/roll guy + Harden This team is maximizing WB but harden's taking the hit and has no help when he's in, can't sacrifice such a great play makers game by playing 5 out with him in.
That’s what the summer will be for. I stated as well as other users as well as Morey recently about how the Capela trade puts us in better position moving forward as well. Obviously we have to go for it this season as well but we couldn’t keep Capela and get Covington so we got the lengthy wing and unclogged the paint. I’m sure the front office realizes Harden will need a roll man and it’s clear we’re not going to get an elite player to provide that so Morey will go hunting this summer for someone on the cheap.

Can harden change style to shoot 2 points only like westbrooks ? If MDA still stubborn using 8 man rotation and no center to grab rebounds. Harden uses Westbrooks method to play will increase his field goal percentage and help the team
I think a roll man who can also shoot 3ball and play sticky switch defense would benefit Harden AND Russ. Someone like Aaron Gordon or Jerami Grant. Or cheaper options available now like Jonah Bolden and Justin Anderson. OP is correct IMO.
That's something easily fixed by Harden not taking 7.99999 seconds of the 8 second shot clock to get over halfcourt. It's the thing which annoys me the most about Harden. He is making things so much harder for himself allowing the team to set their defense nearly every single possession.
The same answer to the same problem. Should have landed Grant in the Westbrook trade. Should have pulled Bolden off the wire. Both where in the hand on great contracts. Eric Gordon doesn’t have the value to land Aaron Gordon in the off season. What a thought role players playing to their strengths while playing in a system that highlights two once in a generation players that happen to be on our favorite team.
Well that would help the team in general, it’s adding talent but that’s not gonna happen this season. From just an individual standpoint Harden isn’t doing anything much different that before. They still run brush screens and dribble handoffs PnRs to create double/switches but when he’s been one on one he hasn’t been able to capitalize. Clippers just like the Knicks clogged the lane and took away the 2. If Harden or anyone can’t hit 3s a rolling big man can’t help with that. You gotta make the defense pay for how they’re playing you. Harden is in a bad slump, we need him out of it before the playoffs
