LOL! Now they are talking about the bigs after praising LAC small ball, saying LAC's small ball would get them a championship and now they are talking about how big they are.

Rockets are shooting abysmal from the field. If they were shooting 30% they'd be right in this game.

 

It's pretty stupid, shameful really.

 

If we keep getting blown out I may be done with the nba this season

Let's face it. Harden is mentally weak. When the pressure is on, he fades. It's been tested again and again.

 

Harden sad cause this is Westbrook's team now.

 

1. Clippers selling out to stop RW fast breaks. Clippers also pushing game on misses and defense is not getting back and marking their man.
2. Can't buy a 3 pt shot. Clippers now cheating and closing off the paint.
3. Now that the Capella PnR is gone, Rockets no longer have a "go to" play call to get easy buckets to stop a run or settle the team. Someone has to work too hard to score.
4. Harden just looks injured, or out of shape because an injury he played through earlier in the season.
5. Clippers length is bothering role players, They are passing up shots or having passes tipped.
6. Guards and Wings are not instinctive with guarding cutters and closing off interior passing lanes. 2nd straight game where this has killed them. Passing to them before they realize them.
7. Gordon is deferring way too much right now, and has become fully a spot up shooter. He has not adjusted to basically being the 3rd guy with the ball. Part of this may be playing back from injury. If he is not dynamic to hit shots and get to the bucket, he can't play right now.

 

If we shoot as well from the 3pt as the Clippers did, we would have been up this game. That's the big difference today.

I honestly don't think the Clippers have played that good of defense. They're just allowing us wide open 3pt shots and hoping we miss. Looks like their gamble is paying off.

 

You break things down into perpetuity but if they hit 5-6 more of their 3’s its a different game.

 

To be honest, I just don't see it happening tonight.

 

Also that game we had WIDE open looks. Tonight alot of iso contested 3's. We are not even trying to create open shots.

 

Gotta be the worst half I have witnessed considering the stakes. Terrible

If we cant let them feel offensive pressure, all bets are off.

Too much reliance on our offense to carry the day.

Harden is doing too much. This is not how small ball offense should look like.

 

We had HOUSE in that lineup which we came back to 10 and then D Antoni pulls him out and never played him since..... like come on mayn.

 

We always shoot poorly when it matters, it's how we've been knocked out of the playoffs every year.

This year ain't changing.

 

Harden shrinks in all the big games. This has been the pattern for 7 years. We’ve rotated the players around him multiple times and he still shrinks. He plays one way and it isn’t a way that ever wins big games or championships.

We keep trying different gimmicks (small ball, nothing but 3s, etc) around him but as long as he doesn’t defend and doesn’t move the ball quickly or move without the ball, we get destroyed but the very best teams.
