Win 6 straight and you play with zero effort for 3 quarters...horrific defensive effort and rebounding. The final few minutes gave them 2nd chance points after a rebound twice and those two free throws ended up costing them the game

It looked to me like Harden was starting back there to get a running start, similar to what he did in Golden State last season but the ball went to Westbrook instead. So Harden came up court but gave him space. Bad miscommunication there, that couldn't have been MDA's play.

“Sorry ass team?” Did you see who they beat over the course of their winning streak?

We didn't deserve to win tonight. We literally only turned up in the 4th quarter. Defense was awful.... nobody could win a damn rebound besides Covington.

I know for a fact we'll destroy the Clippers, because most of the time we don't turn up against the much weaker teams. It's been that way for a while now.

Any other team would have went for a 3pt shot at the end there. I'd rather lose by taking a 3pt shot than just take a tough 2 just to tie the game.

they aren't idiots because they couldn't rebound. they couldn't rebound because we're playing small and the knicks didn't downsize, they played big. our shooting is streaky and when you're basically conceding size you have to make it up with consistent 3pt shot making. we shot well in the 4th but that was just to get us back in the game after being down by 20 due to our shooting in the previous quarters not making up for our lack of size.

Clutchfans, sometimes you have to tip your hat. Can't win them all. Regroup, watch tape and come out swinging

Sucks to lose to the Knicks but the shooting wasn’t there, missed layups, getting out-rebounded, down by 20 and the still make it all the way back with a chance to tie or win. You can’t be too mad about that. The system works

Comeback was nice but we can’t go down 21 to the ******* Knicks in the first place. Bad shooting and lazy on D for 3 quarters. Every game is important right now, sucks that we lost this one.

now I’m going to forget all about this game and look to the Clippers game...because obviously that’s what our guys did tonight. If complacency kills, we were ****ing murdered this game.

Our guys will play much better next time, I have no doubt. But dropping a cupcake game like this one stings hard.

You would say “I hope they learn from this and start to respect their opponent” but this has been a problem for years with the Harden / D’Antoni era

Completely looked past the Knicks and it resulted in an L. Gave up too many easy buckets in the first half.

Friendly reminder that while this team is very talented and deep, we still have one of the worst in-game coaches in the league in Mike D'Antoni. He's probably going to hold us back from winning it all this year.

He bizarrely doesn't give minutes to Carroll even though Tucker was useless, and then he overplays Westbrook when it was clear the Knicks pack the paint defense was a bad matchup for him (he was a -9 while the rest of the starting lineup had a positive +/-)
