Denver would be up there for me but OKC is not a threat. Utah has to figure us out at some point and make it close.
Chose it don’t matter. But I would love to get San Antonio in the first round for some revenge. I don’t care what anybody says but to me the most devastating loss was game 6.
it doesn’t matter, they’re all getting slapped up and leaving with swollen eye sockets and head lumps I see a bunch of 5 game series...Utah would be the least entertaining
Strangely, I'm more concerned about the first round this year than I am the semifinals or WCF. If you play a team like Dallas, it could just come down to which team is hotter from three, and they're a better three-point shooting team. I think you WANT to play a team with a traditional big. But the Westbrook drive has replaced the Capela alleyoop as the go-to shot around the rim. The Rockets likely have more control in the playoffs that way. But if they play a team that runs five versatile players that can also shoot, it could be a coin toss.
This is why I put Dallas as my least desired team to face in the first round. I don't see a lot of ways to beat this new iteration of the Rockets, but one way is definitely to outshoot them. Of the three, Dallas is the only one with the offensive firepower to do so. Their defense is atrocious, but their offensive rating is still ridiculous.
Doesn't matter as long as we're in the top 3-4 seeding, preferably top 2 meaning it's more important to win every game against a Western playoff team including tonight's game from here on out. The 5-7 seeds will guarantee be tanking to avoid us outside of OKC/Clippers.
If you want to win everything, you don’t care who you play in the first round. Their might be some matchups that are better but honestly we need to be tested and be better prepared for WCF and Finals.
It's not impossible. I think they're the 2nd winningest team in the league since Thanksgiving after the Bucks, which is insane.
Yeah, I’m also concerned about a first round with OKC. It would be a very personal series for them - CP and the rest of the Thunder would be very motivated to knock us off and that’s one team that I feel can really make us pay on the boards.
Honestly the team that would make me the Most nervous of those would be okc. Paul would be all in for it. I wouldn't pick them to beat us in a series but that one would make me the most nervous. Dallas doesn't scare me at all and neither does Utah. They aren't as good as their record indicates as we have seen this past week. I think we have also found a way to eliminate Gobert, who is their biggest piece defensively, much like GSW always were able to do with Capela. I would take Dallas above the 3 of them. They don't scare me. They started the year out really strongly but teams have seemed to have figured them out since the last time we played. I guess I am just looking at it in terms of teams best players. Chris Paul is the best player out of the 3 teams mentioned (for now, no disrespect to Luka).
OKC is our worst matchup. They got good perimeter D and are good in transition.... Well have a hard time guarding shaigil Paul and shroedder...
