That move isn’t remotely close to being a dream shake. What an insult lol.

Uh not the Dream shake. Just a little wiggle and drop step. Nice move but NOT the Dream Shake.

Dream had such a violent yet fluid quickness, the Dream Shake was really predicated on the fact he was about to blow by the defender on his way to the rim and as soon as the defender gathered to stop the drive to the rim Dream anti-lock braked and 0-60 the other direction.

Looking at your moniker, your start date, the fact that you have only a handful of posts, AND that this topic made you post, you have the most authority over anyone else in this thread to make the call.

All I see is a turnaround J. Where's the dream shake?

Shouldn't we take it as a sign of respect to Hakeem's post game that any time someone makes a nice post move Hakeem is the first historical player that leaps to people's mind? Better that than to be forgotten.

Looks like a standard turnaround fadeaway to me. Why would anyone look at that and think it was a Dream Shake?

Regular season shenanigans by the Roid Driod.

Let's see him pull this off against a true center, 6'5 PJ Tucker, in the playoffs.

Yes and draining it in Ewing, Robinson, Shaq, and Duncan's grill over and over again. They know it's coming and it's their favorite dessert.

The only positive in this is maybe people will google Hakeem's dream shake and bless themselves with this unique artistry.

That's just a fadeaway in the post. It's a dying art, but that doesn't mean all post moves are now Hakeem post moves. Just because you worked a little with Hakeem doesn't mean you get to crib his terminology, LBJ. Did Kobe ever call any of his moves "a Dream Shake"? He also worked with Hakeem. Lots of people have. Nobody's come close to replicating Dream.

What I remember about Hakeem is that he could do this stuff effortlessly and with full confidence. The Dream Fade along the baseline is something he'd often go right into after getting the ball. Sometimes he'd size you up, and sometimes he'd just straight up shoot an impossible-to-defend shot right over you. And swish it. I've never seen anyone do that with any regularity since. Or he'd just take it to the basket and Robinson you with his footwork.

I wouldn't mind seeing a side-by-side of Hakeem's slicing and dicing opponents in the post vs. Harden's slicing and dicing them off the dribble behind the arc. I just realized there's more similarities than I thought despite the very different positions.

Dream was Dreamshaking on double, triple and quadruple teams, and making shots.

    Single coverage. What's that?
