This. I would do it just as a FU to the Lakers. And then not play him at all. For Maximum Rustled Jimmies.
If the Rockets wanted Morris they could've just traded for him at the deadline for nothing, given that he's now being bought out. In the end we all know Tilman wouldn't even pay the tax to make his own team better much less just to screw with some other team.
Unfortunately not the other 4 positions, which he needs to be able to defend to play with us. Chess not checkers.
Hmm...are there enough minutes between the 4 and 5 spots to claim Keif AND keep Green? Would this allow us to play Tucker predominately at the 4? Definitely would bump a wing out of the rotation if we went that route. Just not enough minutes.
Some of these guys might be unplayable in the playoffs anyways. Might as well try out and see what sticks
the only risk i can see w/ claiming him off waivers is the chance green doesn't sign for the rest of the season then
I mean, I'd rather cut Isiah or Tyson and get Kief here. I don't like being greedy, but one more tough guy to add to this team that can play our style of basketball won't hurt.
Not going to lie, I'm intrigued by this news especially now since it's a real possibility. There are no better options available at the moment and not many on the horizon unless Harkless eventually hits the market and I have to wonder if Byiombo would even be enticing since he doesn't fit the 5 out all the time concept we're employing now. YouTube, Markieff Morris/Detroit Pistons highlights here I come. Time to do some "advanced" scouting haha!
markieff would be great but he's 6'10 so he's way too tall. I'm only half-kidding. I do think he's more of a "big" than a "wing" if that makes sense. Like, all of our current bigs also could credibly play small forward, but he cannot. I wouldn't be opposed, but also wouldn't be surprised if this makes him outside of Houston's preferred traits.
