It might be my old age but I don't think we've had a player that's signed onto the team midway through the year making a significant impact since Josh Smith was waived in 2014.

Austin Rivers last year, but your point still stands. It's a crapshoot, as opposed to just spending money to take advantage of better opportunities.

We added Austin Rivers and Kenneth Faried to our roster last year. Faried helped at the time, and Rivers was a GREAT pickup.

There are good players to be had, but you have to find guys that aren't being utilized or are undervalued that can fit this system. If there are studs hitting the market then everyone wants them. We wouldn't be complaining if we had landed Marvin Williams.

In all fairness Faried did help out for a few weeks last year as well. And those few weeks did matter considering how close seeding was.

DeMarre Carroll would be a good addition for the Rockets. I see my twitter report on the buyout situation was already posted in this thread.

DC was good for the BKN Nets who basically run a similar offense to the Rockets. So DC would fit here as a backup range shooting PF.

Normally I agree but for our injured team last season and having 5 "empty" roster spots THIS season, buyout market will be critical.

Deeper roster would allow more rest to our best players, especially in blowouts. Those 5 empty spots do not allow this because no lead is safe.

And while the 5 empty spots are not really hurting team now, if EGo does not return 100% or if any important role players go down, never mind one of our alphas .......

Wouldn't say he has had a terrible season if he doesn't get much game time. Can't really do much without time to work

Is Green being brought in on a 10 day?

If Harkless or Biyombo also bought out .....

Still want 6'10 Jonah Bolden (after Suns 10 day), 6'6 Justin Anderson and/or 7'0 Dragan Bender!!!!!

    Make it happen Fam!!!!

I think possibly for the rest of the season. This is probably going to be it for the rest of the season in terms of moves.

I think 10 day makes more sense.

Likely you are correct but I hope I am right.

They are hoping to sign him to a rest of year deal though. It sounds like that’s what the Rockets want m. It’s just that Jeff Green is questioning the fit. Wants to see how he will be used.
