If their job truly takes a lot of brain power, then they shouldn't have inferiority complex about a general stereotype often used to describe industrial revolution and historical period of agricultural economy.
If what Bloomberg is saying is correct, that tech requires a more complex analytical skills, why get offended at the truth?

In the end, even if they do get offended, hopefully, Bloomberg can spread the message to farmers that Trump screwed them over with the tariff wars and apologize for calling agriculture in 16th century to be not quite that complex as the tech job in 21st century.

Most adults know this is the correct. We blow way too much time and money on end-of-life care, usually not to much better outcomes. Not a politically expedient thing to say, but it's true.

I think the missed point here is that the center left and center right politicians of our time don't seem to have much respect for the trades and other manual work as opposed to finance, tech, etc.

"Learn to code" is the modern day "let them eat cake".

We spend 9% of of health care cost in the final year of life, is it really wrong to say we should spend less on end of life costs?

Screwed the farmers did he or did he do what he said he was going to do and level the playing field? Eventually the left will have to admit what most Americans already see.

I don't think one year gives a very accurate representation of the cost. That spending amount (10%~) is about equal across most of the industrialized world (although who pays and who is getting charged is another topic). When you expand that out to three years from EOL, you end up seeing the US's costs leap ahead of the rest of the world significantly.

What playing field did he level?

This is the whole basis of the article

China has pledged to purchase $200 billion worth of American goods in exchange for relief from the counter-tariffs on their goods. At least $40 billion of that will go toward purchases of agricultural products, allowing farmers to double their exports to China.

Are you really banking on that?

Yeah, this is 100% correct. We can't get every 95 year old to be a miserable, ICU 96 year old. The key is spending money on wellspan and not lifespan. I'm not inclined to like Bloomberg much, but thanks for posting this. Glad he can say the tough and obvious things.

If some rich dude wants to support expensive surgeries for himself at 95, go for it, but the insurance business and medicare should not be footing that bill.

While you are right, it is a difficult sell politically. Where do you draw the line at whom gets treated for cancer and whom does not?

Nope I never said "whatabout Nazis"

My point is that claiming you are the victim of "left attackers" to try to garner sympathy and portray the left as violent is precisely the same technique used by the Nazis to garner sympathy. If you look at the article, it's reported heavily by the far right sources.

Liberals are often attacked by the right (far more in fact) without it making headlines anywhere. Yet the right needs to play itself as the victim even though they are the ones on the offensive against the rights of others.

Should he say this to an 86 year old supreme court justice who keeps having bouts with cancer (RBG)? "There's no cure, go and enjoy!"

so you're saying that you never brought up the Nazis in the conversation about the 15-year old who got slapped in New Hampshire. okay.

but while we're on the subject . . . what about the Nazis??

    Meanwhile....

Bloomberg says many 'black and Latino males' don't 'know how to behave in the workplace,' in newly uncovered 2011 video

What’s it take to be a racist when you’re a Democrat? Just asking.
