You know, All Star weekend is the one time of year I can enjoy drunk Harden. Who cares how he performs. Just don't get injured.

For someone who has reached the absolute top of his athletic endeavor, Harden sure does get a **** ton of lazy, drunk, fat takes.

I feel like those may not be accurate.

Was CP3 an All Star at anytime during tenure with Rockets?

Didn’t Antetokounmpo not pick Harden because he wanted someone who would pass the ball?

    Harden 6 Asts
    Freak 1 Ast
    at halftime

    They both have a 34% (ast%) per basketball-reference.com ......Freak 34.0%, Harden 34.2%

And Harden skunks the Freak in Ast% the last few years

That's what happens when you take his lane away. He's nothing more than a slasher with limited dribbling skills. Harden locked him up in the post.

You can tell by the his general style of play. When he comes up against actual good post defenders, he doesn't know what to do. He's lucky to have a team and coach like the Bucks have.

In his first season, he missed enough games before the all-star break where other players deserved it even though his play when healthy was at an all-star level. He didn't deserve to be an all-star his second season. Dropped off a bit.

He doesn't really need to post much. A lot of Gainnis' scoring is face up and fastbreak.

Hyping up Harden's post defense in an era where post offense is almost completely gone is kinda funny.

It isn't hyping it up if it's true. He's clearly one of the best post defenders in the league. How many times has he stopped a much bigger and stronger guy in the post either by blocking them or ripping from them? The majority of time he puts in a good contest in the post.

By blocking them? No, most of his post defense is from a phenomenon that players bring up a lot and that is that when a offensive player sees what they percieve to be an obvious mismatch, their basic fundamentals are thrown out the window and they rush things or get careless.

Harden's post defense has to do with his lower body thicc strength, refs allowing aggressive swipes that look like obvious fouls from shorter defenders (out of sympathy? ) and that phenomenon of offensive players loosing fundamentals when lighting there eyes up from seeing a percieved obvious mismatch.

    And worst of all,
    1. His post defense even when creating a missed shot, often leads to a offensive rebound because he's outmatched at grabbing a board against a significantly taller player

    2. The league is in an era of the least amount of post play in league history.
