With all the extra bullshit the Stros players will be dealing with this year, I like the Dusty Baker hire more every day.

He can take the punches, he's great with players in the clubhouse, he has the CV to just say (paraphrasing) "**** off"

Well he better be ready for the aftermath Baker should send one more warning and make it plan that they're all grown men be ready for what comes if you intentionally hit one of my players.

Dusty's job is to keep the guys focused on the game at hand. There's going to be enough outside pressure on everyone, he's just got to keep it cool.

eta: players will have to step up as leaders also. Correa has been great so far.

When someone gets hit, how hard will it be for someone like Bregman not to run on the field? Suspensions etc. I’m scared of this.

I hope none of this bullshit happens, but if it does...especially if people start headhunting...let the pitchers retaliate and eventually you'd really hope the League Office would step in.

But I have zero faith in Manafort to do anything beneficial for the Game, so....

Still like the guy, but she's keeping him from reaching the MVP. Rough sex and rib breaking.

How toxic it's gotten recently he needs to come out and make a statement regarding retaliation. Or maybe he just likes the publicity to the game. I would have to think the ratings will be up and the Astros will be on every possible national tv opportunity because of the drama. Expecting drama against -

    Yankees
    Dodgers
    Oakland
    Cleveland
    Angels
    Seattle
    Cincinnati - Bauer
    Cubs - Bryant

Unless MLB says something, the idiot fans will feel like it's carte blanche to throw **** at the players. DodgerFans murdered a guy a couple of years ago. They've been notorious battery tossers for a long time, and since we don't play LA they'll be in Anaheim in full force.

We'll see how Manafort handles this shitshow.

Lol MLB aint going do ****. The whole league was throwing at Arod after he got caught cheating and the league didnt give some warning to all the teams. It was his pitchers that had his back.

Clearly many people who visit this BBS have watched and listened to Correa every single day of his MLB career and are very familiar with his diva qualities and attention seeking behavior.

This might be the most excited I've been about a season in long time ... hope we come in ready for a fight ... time to embrace the villain role.

I just wish I could go to the games in socal. Not sure I want to expose my kids to the abuse from LA fans. They were already intolerable as it was

i can never remember a time when any professional sports league had players publicly going after each other like this. Sure there have been isolated incidents, but never the league wide back and forth

really surprised the league hasn’t made a statement yet

Correa stance yesterday will either calm things down because they will know we aren’t going to just be their punching bag anymore, or today will be a bit crazy with responses

Diva qualities, huh? So that’s the reason.

    Stay consistent...
