If you could run a lineup of 5 of the exact same player, who would it be?

Four of the five Pippens would refuse to step on the floor when the game ending play was not called for them.

LeBron James would likely be the best answer. He is 6'8" 240 lbs and can play four of the 5 positions at an elite level, and likely would battle as a traditional 5.

I’d be interested to see 5 Lebrons against 5 Magic Johnsons.

I'm going to take either Hakeem or LeBron with Magic a close third, for reasons already outlined in this thread. Those three could do it all.

You fools picking five Jordans are smoking something fun today.

5 Durants would probably be the best. Lebron is the better player imo, but with five Lebrons roles get redundant. They can't all facilitate simultaneously, some of them are forced to play off-ball which has never been Lebron's strength.

Durant has proven he can play off ball in addition to having elite iso skills. He's an elite three point shooter, decent rim protector, and underrated passer (averaged 5.2 assists in past five seasons). I think Durant's ability to stretch the floor and hit all of his free throws gives him an edge over Lebron when all the players on the floor are elite.

5 Currys would be the worst. They just run around with nobody setting illegal screens for them.

5 Hardens would be funny. One Harden ISOs at the top of the arc. The other four stand around the half court.

5 Lebrons. And it's not even close in my opinion.

I'd have to say 5 Hardens... but 5 Magic Johnsons...

The passing from 5 Magics would be incredible.

Jordan can't shoot from deep, neither can LeBron, Hakeem can't play point guard. The Curry part was a joke, right?

Full court game you’d have to get a ball handler in there. Jordan, Lebron, Durant and Garnet is probably group A in whatever order. I’d go Lebron with my first pick though.

A Harden team could definitely upset any of the top seeds.

A Garnet vs Durant matchup would be really fun.

Likewise 5 LeBrons would keep deferring to each other in crunch time.

    Give me 5 MJ's or 5 KG's

That’s why I said all answers should preface Rudy T would have to be the coach...like this

“As long as Rudy T is the coach, I’d say 5 MJs. Rudy would get them to co-exist.”

In all honesty, LeBron or KD or Magic and or mobile PF's who can pass and handle and stretch to at least deep 2 like KG, AD, Chuck, CWebb are the best picks for these scenarios IMO. I chose KG because he has the length, height, quickness, deep 2, post, agility, vertical, suffocating defense on the perimeter and post, weakside blocking, passing, handles..Hakeem and Duncan a bit too traditional for this 5 position clone based hypothetical imo

Think of the spacing but who would set the moving pick?

Having 5 hardens would be pretty crazy. Two guys standing that 35 feet, two guys at the corners, and one guy getting layup after layup. I think this would be the right answer. Harden would only have to stop the other team about a quarter of the time, because no other team is going to stop him. You could run 3 Scotty Pippens and 2 Dreams out there and they wouldn't be able to stop 5 Hardens.
