There's nothing they can do that's gonna stop the onslaught. Any apology won't be good enough, or they will complain it isn't genuine. It will be a never ending string of growing apologies if they allow it. Make your perfunctory apology and get on with camp. Maybe call Biggio and Bagwell to camp to master the art of the robo answer. Cliches should be our constant ally this season.
Not impressed by the way Crane handled that. Could have had much stronger answers. He should’ve been better coached by his lawyers.

I'm a fan of the way Crane handled it. Could he have handled it better purely from a "let's get the media on our side" perspective? Yes. But absolutely nothing was going to satisfy the media. Instead he referred to the report, emphasized what everybody is refusing to accept (that we don't even really know just how much it helped) and focused on moving on. IMO it was the perfect amount of "We cheated, we're moving on, get over it".
LOL, these reporters doing the best to dig dig dig but Crane is really giving them ZERO. I think Boone going out and whining yesterday promoted Crane's answer regarding beating the Yankees. BTW, are the reporters really that dense to not get why the players themselves can't be punished? I know they're still going to ask but get a clue.
Astros won't be forgiven no matter what they say, but it honestly doesn't matter. Nothing they can do to fix the past - the damage is done. Only thing Astros can do is move forward and win a championship fair and square. They owe this to the fans and themselves.

So the ring leader of this cheating circus was in NY for a fair amount of time and even Cora hinted in an interview that he knew exactly how influential Beltran could be for the Yankees (smirk, wink, wink) yet NOT one question to Boone about any possible cheating??? Or what exactly Beltran was advising on?? Weak ass national media...
They could maybe actually legitimately address the seriousness of their wrongdoing and akcnowledge that they cheated and had a distinct advantage. What an embarrassment that charade was by Crane and the players so far.
I'm going to enjoy watching the media and all the other MLB players, fans, and team officials melt down.
