Yeah, not sure i buy this...but i'll say this, who cares if it was all his decision or not, either way the result is what really matters, and in the end he did the right thing for him and the team, not all the players with a big ego have shown to be able to do this in the past, just think about Dwight, pretty sure the Rockets told/show him how much better he could've been by playing more pick & roll instead of posting up, and you know how that ended so, kudos to Westbrook.

    Nobody "in the organization"

Clint Capela: Bonjour Russ! Happy New Year even though it's late January. Monsieur Daryl has asked me to say ne prenez pas les 3, oui? C'est pas bien analytiquement, oui? Ok?

    Russ *makes feral growling noise*

Clint Capela: ok, glad we had this talk. Ok I take this call it's my agent he says it's tres important...

Westbrook will take the 3 if that's the best shot available.
Since we've gone small spacing is now much better for him.
So, the fact that's he's stopped taking 3's means that spacing is such that he has better options.

it isn't embarrasing at all. He is just playing to his strengths. Not everyone has to shoot threes.

taking less threes and he has shot a bit better from there on the ones he has shot

Yeah not buying this, Mike as he had some sort of convo about this... Im sire it wasn’t a direct “Russ stop shooting 3s” statement, but there was something indirectly inferred in convo between these two I’ve no doubt about it !

James Harden finally has a Rockets teammate that can score over 30 points consistently. This is the First Time really since James Harden became a Rocket, someone to share the scoring load. When Playoffs come his body will be ready. His tired legs misses those 3s, now his body is going to be fresher. Right Now James Harden has a All Star in his Prime heading into the Playoffs.

Actually its even better (or worse depending on your perspective). Our idiot coach was actually encouraging Russ to jack up 3's. Why i have no idea, but its true. Which makes Russ' self awareness all the more profound.

It will be obvious if Russell Westbrook and James Harden will each lead in Individual Scoring over Giannis Antetekounmpo.

At this scoring rate Russell Westbrook will Average over 30 points over Giannis.

Media will continue to Ignore Russell Westbrook, James Harden as MVP Candidates.

Brodie playing in Houston now feels like he's on the autobahn. All your lane are belong to Russ.

Capeala's net worth on one contract far surpassed the lifetime earnings of Mike d'antoni!!!!

capeala can never be as good as olujuwon.

D'antoni traded him far away because after d'antoni retires he would have to borrow money from a foreigner living in Houston with high inflation.

Actually in the playoffs he will be shooting exclusively 1-legged 3 pointers.

They are about 50% less fatigue inducing than normal 2 legged shots.

    Relentless #Pursuit of efficiency!

    This is huge development folks..

Some players are stubborn and wont resist their ego to try something or acknowledge. I feel same about lebron that he sucks at 3 and is not much better than russ at 3 but still to his team detriment, shoots 3. Lebron and russ are similar in that they should be going to basket at all times. Russ is realizing and he is showing to still be pretty spry vs lebron..

I appreciate that russ is acknowledging his 3 game isnt there but hes also taking that on its head and saying that he doesnt need 3s. He will drive right by your ass. Its impressive skill.

Will he be able to resist the sagging off? Will that create that lane clogging of the defense we were trying to avoid?
Will he be tempted like rodman on the spurs against rockets when people gave him super wide open 3?

He has that free throw line jumper that is pretty consistent more so than cp3 midrange and he can get it seemingly every time.

Yah but some guy also started a thread saying the rockets ship is sinking and it started when they trade for Russ. Then he added a picture of okc Russ with a red line across the picture. People say and do crazy things.

Westbrook can stop shooting 3's to let Austin rivers make himself look bad by all the shots that rivers fails to make.

Austin rivers is an epic failure on so many levels!?!?

    Damn shots fired.

Let's see if Austin logs in to CF to counter.
