It is a Texans reference...Bill O'Brien favorite response (according to O'Brien haters). Brian T. Smith is a Houston Chronicle Texans' beat reporter.

I really wouldn't be mad if the Astros said something like this to open up spring training

We cheated. We won a championship. We’ll do it again. Suck on it.

    Pitchers can fake injuries.

Could also argue balls and strikes with an ump to get thrown out. Would be awesome to see relievers telling the umps to go f*** themselves just so they can come out early.

You are very much in the minority on that.

Like most people I am thrilled to not see multiple pitching changes in a single inning stalling games. The sport already has a million pacing issues, this at least alleviates one of them.

I predict there will not be a single pitcher who faces one batter and then fakes an injury in order to be removed from a game.

If anyone is going to do it, it'll be the Dodgers. The way they've used the DL since they changed those rules, I wouldn't put it past them.

Press Conference this morning, went from 8:30am to just finishing up at 9am.

Alex and Altuve made very brief prepared statements, basically saying 'We're really sorry.'

Then the reporters had their chance to be self-righteous and indignant, basically exactly as you would imagine, and I'm sure you can imagine it will be exactly like that for the foreseeable future.

Locker room will be open to reporters later in the day, so I'm sure we will hear more of the same.

People are entitled to their opinions about all this. Me personally, I get that it looks bad, but I also know without a doubt that the exact same thing was very likely happening with every team in the league. So, I hope that the team goes out and gives the middle finger to the league for the whole season, ending with another world series title. All the hate the team will face will only have partially to do with the 'cheating', and at least as much just pure hate, and I am not down with that.

No, you don't know without a doubt. That's like me saying I know without a doubt that you _____ on _____ to get off.

You can HOPE that it happens, you can GUESS that it happens but you don't know without a doubt that it does.

    You keep saying that.
    What’s more likely?

A: Rogue team independently invents a system to gain an advantage when they already has generational talent?

B: Said team comes up with a system to advance a tradition ingrained in the sport to beat the other teams doing the same type of behavior?

Bury your head all you want. Not only have past players said it’s a league wide issues, now current players are. Sign stealing is as old as the sport, it’s inevitable for teams to use technology to gain an edge.
