That topic has been talked about since he entered the race, every time there is a black talking head they bring it up.

It's already baked into the cake I think.

He will have to address it on the debate stage.

I think Sanders is gonna win.

He did well in Iowa, is doing well in NH and Biden is crumbling... It could all be over in the next couple of primaries. Oh, and doesnt he have the best ground operation. I think kloubuchar might be the only one who has a chance, maybe pete ... but his media coverage has gotten decidedly less friendly over the last month or so.

I think Trump knew it was gonna be sander's too because I get a ****ing ton of trump youtube ads asking me to take his " socialism approval poll"

Don't forget about Mayor Bloomberg. He is poised to qualify for the next debate with one more good poll number.

This looks like it is going to be a full-on scrum until at least Super Tuesday.

Looks like Bernie is about to get attacked by the unions in Nevada. With Biden imploding, who gets the endorsement of this group?

Doubt it's Warren, since she also supports M4A. Maybe Klobuchar with her recent surge? Or Pete, who advocates for sectoral union bargaining nationwide?

Gabbard, Klobuchar, and Steyer only 3 lame ducks left in the race to not hit at least 5% average on national polls.

I know Amy's NH performance, Steyer's NV/SC ad buys will borrow them some time until super tuseday kills them off, (dunno wat Tulsi excuse is) but all 3 need to

You do realize you are comparing trump's three years with other presidents' four and even eight years. With all the complaints about President Obama governing via executive order, he actually rarely used them.

Do the simple math - Obama , Trump & Dubya are all fairly close in average over a 4 year span.

Define close? Is 35 executive orders per year "close" to 47 per year?

Executive orders are also not the only ways president abuse power.

Everyone giddy about Buttigieg and Klobuchar needs to tap the brakes a bit.

Neither of these candidates has a strong Super Tuesday plan. Klobuchar is especially hurting for her future infrastructure.

I think ST is going to arrive and Biden/Bloomberg are going to take a big smelly dump all over things.

Everyone is excited about the field narrowing, but I think it's about to get a lot more complicated instead.

The best case scenario for moderates is that Warren and Biden faceplant and leave, but odds aren't great on that.

    Tulsi drop out yet?

Deval Patrick expected to drop out today. I know you’re all devastated.

No. It appears that Gabbard and Steyer are going to hang in there for at least a little while longer. Gabbard has her back up as a result of the antagonism she has received from the media and the Democrat establishment. I can understand that. Steyer is a bit of a narcissist who is having trouble accepting that the American people are not as enchanted with him and his ideas as he himself is. I am not sure what can be done to help him with that.

As far as Deval Patrick, what on Earth happened here? Obama introduced the guy - without a specific endorsement - while leaving the impression that Patrick was supposed to be someone who would be adequate to fill the void that was left by his departure. And then nothing.

I don’t like Steyer (the candidate) and think he’s a walking advertisement of why the rules need changed, but his polling in NV/SC is good enough to warrant sticking it out. Currently #2 in SC and nearly tied for third in NV. He’s also positioning himself as a Biden alternative to minority voters in those states shopping for a new candidate.

There’s at least a coherent strategy on display for the next two states. That’s more than we can say about someone like Tulsi that banked everything on NH, failed miserably and is still acting like there’s a reason for her to stay in the race.

And, yeah, the Deval Patrick thing is pretty embarrassing and damaging to his brand. I think it’s mostly classic snooze-you-lose. Most of these candidates had already declared if you rewind to this time last year. Patrick, with not much of a national profile, waited until mid-November. You can get away with that sort of thing if you’re a Mike Bloomberg. Not if you’re someone like Deval Patrick.

Obama followed the rulemaking process for DACA while Trump ignored process to get right to the end. The courts respect a deliberative process and consider fast-forwarding through to be capricious.

Agreed. Counting EOs isn't a measure of overreach. Issuing orders is what an executive does for his job. You'd need to measure the content of the EOs to compare how much each president stretched his executive powers. I think some measurable things (not that they regularly measure these things) you could look at (1) average life of rulemaking dockets (like I said, Trump's agencies seem to try to take shortcuts to get to the outcome), (2) number of EOs and rulemakings defeated in courts, (3) dollars paid out in lawsuits/settlements resulting from rulemakings and EOs (these take a long time to work through), and (4) number of impeachment articles passed in the House.

Also there is this common refrain by some to label anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders as "Republican light"....... when perhaps........ a socialist that wasn't even a Democrat but is running as a Democrat could perhaps be the one that does not fit in the party structure.

I am all for people supporting Sanders if their politics align with him, but at least be aware that he is FAR left.

The funny thing is that Trump and Bloomberg are very very similar to one another and are wired similar.
