Entertaining football, really enjoyed the game. Think it is going to work the second time around. Love the oil derricks on the helmets.

People will trash it because it has the XFL stigma, but his was an extremely quality product in week 1.

Will be interesting to see if it is able to retain a respectable following.

Missed the game, but like the outcome and highlights. Our qb looks like he has an arm and some bounce in his step. Like. Sounded like a good crowd and atmosphere.

Awesome game. Loved the experience. They have to do better with concessions and parking, though.

I get why they're doing it, but I could do without the constant player interviews. Also not sure how to feel about the open mics on refs and coaches.

Very sure they gonna have their own growing fanbase following like the 1980s Gamblers in the USFL. I think they sorta remind me like the Clippers, Mets, White Sox, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, etc. All these teams being in the shadow of their crosstown rivals who are the bigger, more popular teams locally.

I kinda agree on this because they can do that stuff on local sports radio stations like 610 and 790 to get to know these players more and their personalities and to further promote the team and the league.

Lightyears ahead of the last XFL in quality of play, treating things like actual football and not a wrasslin' production, etc.

I may have been wrong, this absolutely can fill a niche this time of year as long as the quality of play improves with time, as it should.

Very curious to see how many XFL guys get training camp invites next year, if the NFL views the talent as legitimate minor league level, and some guys start making rosters, that helps legitimize things.

I actually really like that idea. If the league proves to do well, I think a franchise in like Columbus, OH or Nashville would be no brainers. And having a guy like LBJ supporting it would only boost it.

Any chance the XFL lets guys play two years out of HS? For example, let’s say D’Eriq King left UH after his true sophomore season.

If the XFL said, “Sure, you can come and play for us, but you have to sign a two year contract.”

    Is it worth it?

Interesting thought. The average salary is $55k, QBs make more but everyone else is about the same. Highest paid QBs got paid $500k which isn’t shabby. Guess it’d depend on how much the XFL would be willing to pay a kid like King to come out.
