It’s Official - Morey Sucks!

Whether it's Morey's fault or not I would not be surprised at all if this were his last season as the GM of the Houston Rockets. I can easily see both him and MDA gone next year.

 

I hope Morey is able to get a job with a decent owner who allows him to operate fully. He’ll get a ring if he can do that, and he deserves it.

His time in Houston is over, essentially. He knows Tilman won’t let him compete, and he KNOWS Tilman won’t pay top dollar to keep him, so I’m sure he’ll start looking around.

 

Can’t believe there people who blame Morey for this. How can you not see the obvious. The last two years have been 100% Tillman.

 

You have all the answers. Why don't you spend your money and buy the Rockets. Tilman follows in Trumps footsteps. Buy something, cut expensives, make a profit. Then go to your next project. I have followed the Rockets when they first started in Houston. Tilman is a tightwad. Shut up and listen. Damnit.

 

Morey brought in Harden and Westbrook to the Rockets, and Morey has tried to build the best team around them. How is that awful, idiot? I guess you're one of those morons who is in love with Bill O'Brien.

 

If DM wasn't under contract through the '21-'22 season I'd agree.
I guess it's possible that Tilman simply let's him go find work and let's him out of the deal, but I doubt there will be a 'buyout'.

Even if the Rockets don't win championships with Harden, at least Morey TRIED to buil around Harden. I'll take that over Bill O'Brien and the Texans. Morey has tried, and admits his mistakes when he fails.

 

It works but it was the gamble of the seasons......Tilman should sell the team to better ownership nonetheless.

Every season should be stable, and not a roller coaster ride of highs and very lows.

Totally justified. I don't agree with a lot of the changes we've seen since the ownership move but I'm willing to at least wait until it all shakes out.

Personally I think his places are overpriced anyway.

 

He's been here for 14 years. Probably time for a new challenge.

 

Morey has traded 6 first round picks in last two trades
