Rockets trade Jordan Bell for Memphis Bruno Caboclo

Kid is tougher than advertised.

 

Who cares he’s a scrub. No one wants these players except the rockets. It’s an experiment to see what Russ and James can do with the worst players in the league so Morey can keep cutting more rotation players until it’s harden Westbrook and 7 other 6-4 guys from the dleague to fill out the rest of the roster

these guys will sing tilmans praises for giving them a chance and 1m each.

 

he is alright as a starter. A rebounding wizard

 

The dunk was pretty good, but he had trouble making even a simple layup with no one challenging him. Clint couldn’t do anything against Draymond, and he couldn’t shoot, but he outplayed his friend Gobert. I doubt if Bruno can do anything significant in the playoffs apart from hitting a couple of threes at best. He is likely to get hurt badly with physical play.

We will soon find out which player is better fit.

Also, Bruno is most likely not going to handle best offensive player unless switched.

Harden, Tucker and Covington will defend low post much more IMO.

I am excited for 5 out basketball. And having 3 guys with wingspans over 7'0 is going to cause chaos for opposing teams.

Just need another 2 guys to set this rotation. We will see many different combos with Harden and Russ to figure out the chemistry - that will not happen overnight.

 

I'd just like to have one semi playable traditional big on the roster and I'd feel better about where we are at. Maybe that guy can be found via buyout.

 

Bruno has that freakish wingspan. But, he doesn’t seem to have much quickness to his game. Can he be Harden’s new pick and roll partner?

 

Not seeing that as his role. Screener/diver backup is not on roster yet.

There's always Kenneth Faried. Rockets lack backup screener/diver and dunker right now.

Since we traded away Bell.

 

I feel like Faried isn't going to want to come back to an MDA led team after last season. Not too familiar with Patton, hoping for O'Quinn (I can't believe I'm seriously waiting for an O'Quinn signing.)

Didn't we already have him like a year or two ago then just got rid of him?

 

It's hilarious looking at our hole at center. We need a rim running center, who's athletic & can run the floor. Who are we looking for? Hmmmm let me think.......KENNETH FARIED. We're ultimately trying to replace somebody Morey let walk, because he thought he was replaceable. The Rockets are running in circles behind Daryl Morey's miscalculations

Instead of Bell and switching 2nds, Rockets send Tyson and 2nd.

 

he looks like he's got talent and this seems like a good move. Christian Wood also looked good a couple years ago when i watched him in summer league. maybe we should hold onto our own players and actually try to develop them.

 

Faried running out of options so cant afford to be picky.
