Rockets trade Jordan Bell for Memphis Bruno Caboclo

If I knew it was gonna be this, I would rather have just had a Thon Maker trade.

 

I see the reasoning and the potential, he could pan out as a better offensive player and shot blocker than Capela, but he very much looks like a gamble and project.

We're gambling to win a title (which I can understand) because we were struggling for a span, but that was likely due to injuries to our stars playing poorly and not Capela's play.

The past champions all had a very good or strong defense historically, you can't just triple down on offense and not just us but analytics as a whole have not been good evaluating defense.

We'll see, again on the surface we gave up a lot and we still appear worse. I'm hopeful things work out and we're better and a top seed, but the realistic side says this looks bad and desperate to save money, this looks like an ownership gamble and money saving move placed on the GM.

This isn't a casino or restaurant, if you lose likely your team could be bad for years. Please study the game's history, again I hope I'm wrong and this works out.

 

Hoping for a splash all we got was a thud. I guess next year will be trading to get Bell back?

Once our medical staff and MDA take a look at him I’m sure he will be cleared for 40 mpg

he's got great length, but slow release on his shot and ultra slow movement while handling the ball. he's like a stretched out kyle anderson in ultra slo mo

Capela is a bit of a gamble himself, he has plantar fascitis that means he will struggle with leg injuries his entire career moving forward.

The frontcourt may or may not be worse, Capela historically has not played great in the playoffs so its not like you are missing somebody amazing. And don get me started on Capela's work vs Gobert and KaT. Kat isnt even in the playoffs and Rox roll Utah Capela or no Capela.

What we do know is the perimeter defense gets massively improved as you now have Roco helping Tucker. You are right we have to see what happens.
