Rockets close to deal for a center

I do not see Rockets making any deal for a Center. This is going to be the lineup imo. Tucker, Covington, Mclemore, Russ & Harden. Bench will be House, Gordon, Rivers, Sefolosha & sometimes Hartenstein. This is MDA strategy to go small but fast paced lineup that can shoot 3s. Let’s get real, Capela was inconsistent defender and would usually get outclassed by good smaller PFs. It’s to be seen how Covington fits but weakness in paint and wing defense will most likely get better I think.

 

Christian Wood would be a great pick up, he has length and size. He can hit the 3, seems like he has the speed to guard on the perimeter. Not too sure about interior defense but he does get some blocks.

Philly needs to clear two roster spaces for the incoming players from the Fubs. I don't think there is much incentive to trade with them unless one really wants certain player.

 

I suggest Morey to ask MDA whether he will use before signing. Like Kenneth Faried who can get 20 pts 10 rebs that MDA put him in the bench. I think KOQ look likes Ennis better not to waste time to sign it
