I doubt the league is bending us over. Morey wouldn't risk two trades for a minor amount of more TPE. We can't get a $7.3m TPE without breaking it into two trades -- Capela for Turner as one trade, and Turner to Minnesota as part of another, along with all the other teams and players. As @ch44 says, that would put us at risk of having one trade go through, and the other voided for a physical, which could leave us with Turner, and no Capela or Covington.
So, I don't understand all this stuff, but could maybe someone answer the following? Was this another risky gambit by Morey like with the Nene thing, but, hey might as well give it a shot? Or was this a legit screwjob?
Indeed. I take too long to write posts. Then again, this is the GARM where every post is out of date as soon as you start typing it.
This. There has been no verification or statements, which points to the league overruling the Rockets or anything regarding the trade. Bimathug who's a very good capologist and poster is making an assumption here as the tweet he is replying to by Jeff Siegel only states what the official trade announcement is. It does not mention or imply who or why the trade was structure as a 4 team trade. My assumption is similar to the reasons Ch44 mentioned hours earlier and what HeyP just stated.
No. It would be 2 TPE's instead of a single one. Capela / Covington - $3,595,333 TPE Nene / nothing - $2,564,753 TPE GG / Bell is a wash
ding ding ding. i dont fall for this bs like they didnt know the rules. luxury tax. ima keep saying it. he cheap. not believing the Propaganda
Honestly, how many times have the Rockets used a TPE over the past five years, under both Les and Tilman? Really want to know.
Whether we would have used it or not is irrelevant imo, Silver has it out for Morey and will question everything he does as revenge for trying Morey shining a light on real people in need. Voldemort can eat a bag of dicks.
Why are people so giddy that the league overruled us and we cannot get better as a team? Is this not a fan forum.
