Watch him be like "well we didn't suspend any of 'em so they can deal with it".

    Should've been #proveit

I hate to be harsh, but that slogan sucks. It lacks the annoying arrogance of Take It Back, but this one is just confusing. And rolls weirdly off the tongue. And looks strange in both logo form and hashtag form.

Earn History was the best. Of course, now it's subject to endless debate about whether it should be regarded as irony or not.

Unless a Reddick trade is in the works, the OF doesn't have space.

After last season he's not gonna be a minimum type player. He will require an actual salary.

Very odd. Don’t see how there’s room for him even if they deal Reddick. Unless they have a major trade in place sending out both Tucker and Reddick. But even then, expecting Pence to be an everyday RF is a reach. Doubtful Pence has more value than Straw or Toro.

Of course it’s possible that Pence is just looking for somewhere he can audition for other teams during spring training.

Tucker is not going anywhere. He is insurance for Brantley, Springer, and Reddick.

Pence can hit LHPs. If Astros trade Tucker or Reddick, he would make a lot of sense as a RHB off the bench to semi-platoon with remaining LHB OF. Not sure why other teams haven't offered him a starting spot.

Pence probably isn't as valuable as Toro and Straw, but he would be a different role. I'm guessing Straw is on MLB roster with Toro down in AAA until Astros have a spot for him in IF.

That's all well and good, but if someone gets seriously injured then he would share the blame, and likely have his name on the lawsuit also

Don't think there wouldn't be assault charges filed if a pitcher who has threatened on social media sends someone to the hospital with a serious injury

Yea that's the first thing I told my buddies on our Astros text thread (that has been going strong since 2013 by the way)

Hopefully that signals a Reddick trade is in the works now that we have a GM. Pence pairs better with Tucker, and if we want to give Alvarez a game in the field....

The money potentially saved from Reddick minus what it might take for Pence might be enough to get McHugh back for the pen also

Great to have a GM now and we can potentially make some moves finally

Pence makes perfect sense if you move Reddick, his RH bat pairs much better with Tucker

And he is a long term answer, as much as I want Springer to sign long term there is no guarantee, and Brantley is gone after this year

    Tucker ain't going anywhere

Oh, who am I kidding. That would never happen.

I mean...Mookie is obviously unlikely. But, playing devils advocate...it would guarantee another comp pick and our window is somewhat closing, as much as any of us hate to admit it. Our days of having young, cheap talent leading the charge are in the rear view mirror. Doesn’t mean we can’t be competitive in the next 5-7 years, but this is clearly our peak. If we actually were able to pull of a Mookie deal, whoa boy. I could see BOS having some reservations about sending him to the AL...but they’d know it’s just for a year, and who knows, maybe they want to jab it to the Yankees.

@Snake Diggit what would a Mookie trade look like? Reddick / Urquidy / Perez?
