Supposedly that NBASnupes guy is a reliable insider on their boards. I started reading up on that thread as soon as rumors came out about Capela to ATL. Mods delete if necessary.

Some interesting tidbits in that thread

Bridges? Why? We don't need another guard under 6'7.

6'6 with a 7'1 wingspan with good athleticism. His length isn't a problem, he's only short 1 inch of both Covington's height and wingspan.

Bridges is a very good defender, very good at finishing at the rim. He's struggling with his 3point shot, but if he starts shooting consistently he'll be a really good player.

what’s more he says the price of Bridges was too high for Detroit and Kennard. Maybe he didn’t mean to imply that Det talked about Kennard for Bridges as he did, but Kennard is worth way more than Mikal Bridges.

so not sold on the source at all.

The rumor is Pistons are asking for Suns 1st for Kennard, so by saying the asking price is too high, it might mean Suns wouldn't give a 1st with Bridges.

And personally I'd take Bridges over Kennard for our team. Bridges defensive is as much better then Kennard is on offense. It depends on what your team needs, we need D.

I've never heard of their insider, but what he's also saying is

Celtics offer for Clint - Thiess, Mem pick + fillers

Hawks offer for Clint - Parker(to a 3rd team), Len + Nets pick

Thiess is a better player then Len, but Len has real size while Thiess is 6'8.

Think about all the monies daddy tilly could save with Bridges being on a rookie deal, that would make Tilman rock 8===D hard.

Getting Bridges would be a Morey move

Getting Bridges without dumping CC is a better move than getting RoCO while dumping CC.

Duck the luxury tax. Get depth at the wing. Wait for the buyout market and find a way to get some 4/5 depth on bargain bin deals to remain under the LT.

I'm down for Bridges and Baynes. No, this wasn't reported but man it would be nice.

Oubre, Bridges and Baynes is a reasonable expectation on return for CC

Why not revisit the nets deal and throw in house for Allen and prince?

It would have to be Saric, Bridges, and Baynes. Oubre makes close to $15M. Too much money. Even with Saric comic back that only saves the Rockets $1M and some change. I’m sure the Rockets would want to make another trade after that.

I see no reason why BK does that at all

House is a scrub, he’s not even an asset...Prince is easily a better player

Is going from Allen to Capela even an ugprade? Allen would put up Capela-type production playing next to Harden quite easily.

Morey actually had the nerve to ask for Prince and Allen for just Capela...lmao

I think Oubre is the only guy on the Suns the Rockets would need in a Capela trade. Everything else would be for depth. Harden and Oubre are very close. I think I'd prefer him to RoCo based on age, health and his relationship with James.

That trade requires the Rockets to take on more salary which probably won't happen but looks reasonable.

The Rockets would prefer to deal Clint out east, as it's always been.

Phoenix has always been an option. They love Clint.

Tsunami Papi (Shhhh) has always been coveted as well. Close to James, too.

I still hear Clint being flipped out East, or for the desperation of RoCo. Lots of Clint talk, with added benchers.

    "Update:

Hawks end, nothing new to add

Covington - Russell - Capela Centered Deal

As mentioned by O'Connor, the Atlanta/HOU/MIN framework is agreed to at this time but the ultimate is obviously the Russell bit.

MIN is not willing to give an unprotected pick. They want to give a top 5 protected pick, top 3 protected pick, that in time becomes unprotected. GS wants an unprotected.

Beyond GS wanting an unprotected pick. GS does not want to take on Wiggins and they want to reroute him. Even if they trade Russell, they are open to getting rid of LT even though they aren't dire to do it.

MIN is trying to figure out how they can do a deal where Dieng is the centerpiece that GS covets, not Wiggins but are financially having a hard time as Russell makes nearing 12 million more.

GS would like to do a deal where they can giveaway both Robinson and Burks while taking on Okogie and Layman with Dieng but MIN has obliged to the deal. This would give GS just enough to go under the LT as well as gather several draft assets. MIN has no interest in moving either player and see both are players they want to keep moving forward.

MIN is working on other options at this time to get Russell. I've been told MIN is open to giving a sweeter for someone to take on Wiggins. It make take a 1st. This will be expensive for MIN. It will literally cost them three 1sts if that to land Russell if they have to trade Wiggins as well.

The plan for MIN is to add Russell without trading the young core. Wiggins and Dieng seem not to be a part of that planning from his understanding. While MIN should be getting buyer's remorse, they just like HOU are headstrong on this.

Current framework MIN wants: Wiggins, HOU 1st, BK 1st, MIN top 5 protected 1st, Wiggins for Russell

Current framework GS wants: BK 1st, MIN top 5 protected 1st, Dieng, Okogie, and Layman for Russell. GR3 and Burks being given away if possible.

Likely framework that I think could work: BK 1st, MIN top 5 protected 1st, Dieng, exp fillers for Russell and exp filler. With Wiggins and HOU 1st going elsewhere for exp fillers.

    One more major update:

Spurs have been really looking potential deals involving DeRozan. Charlotte and Memphis has shown some interest.

They have also been putting out fillers on LMA and Rudy Gay. Could be a firesale in San Antonio. Nothing concrete yet."
