Late to this, but saw this mentioned in articles as well. WTF were you guys watching? The leader was modeled after socialist dictators who rise to power and become super corrupt. He wasn't a capitalist.
I've seen the first couple episodes. Lots of laughs. Have you seen Home for Christmas on Netflix? If you like Fleabag you will probably love this series. It's really funny, and set in Norway. I prefer the subtitles just to hear them speak. They only have one season out so far.
That scene in the cafe with his nephew, ordering the child's menu is the funniest scene I have ever scene in my life. I love Ricky Gervais' humor.
The Outsider (Stephen King limited series) starts Sunday night on HBO. Good reviews from what I've seen.
Started this over the weekend and caught up last night. One of the better adaptations of a King novel. The wife and I are hooked. Also finished up "The Morning Show" on Apple TV. A mediocre show that is saved by the performances of an awesome cast. If you're into shows without any good people, you'll love it. Every character is the absolute worst. Heard lots of terrible things about "The Circle" which is, apparently, just a garbage reality game show. It's sounds so bad I can't possibly not give it a shot.
Seeing him on TMS is so disorienting. For me, Billy Crudup IS Russell Hammond, charasimatic lead guitarist of Stillwater from "Almost Famous". I can't remember seeing him in anything since then. Watching him is so jarring, but yeah his character is horrible in the best way possible.
Witcher - i enjoyed it although it felt rushed at times. They could have taken it slower. It also took a couple of episodes to get past superman's bad acting, but he did find his groove later with it. Cheer - If Jerry doesn't make you happy, nothing will.
Does anybody still watch regular TV? Evil - creepy show with a lot of potential, but the pacing makes Better Call Saul look like 24. Good Girls - coming back on soon, I think. It's great. Like Breaking Bad with t***.
