Never was a huge Kobe fan, but I’ve ALWAYS respected his game and acknowledged him as one of the greatest to ever do it. I was upset and shocked to hear that he died and it saddened me, but when I found out that his daughter was with him...I broke down into tears. I’m not afraid to admit that. Maybe because I have a daughter too and imagined that life lost so soon and how her mother and sisters would be hurt by this additional loss. It was heartbreaking and devastating news. My heart goes out to them.

He died supporting his daughters dreams and being a good father. I had recently watched videos of her playing and how proud he was of her. Horrible loss. Tragic.

What a sad day in sports, has Harden said anything? I know he was close with Kobe.

The news is absolutely shocking. Unbelievable, yet sadly true.

Wow. I admire his work ethics and competitiveness. His post-NBA career in education has just started. I'm so sad for his family.

Right now most reports say that it was Kobe and his oldest daughter, another daughter and parent, and a coach, among others. Crazy sad day today.

    ****...

I was in shock for 20 seconds when I heard this news. I knew small flying vehicles accidents are common but man, this is a heart breaker as a fan of basketball.

What a sad day it is.. :(

I hope not. I have a feeling it would already have been reported.

So I'm thinking its not the case.

I just heard a coach and his wife and daughter also passed. So I think there is one deceased 9th victim still unnamed.

It’s almost like Kobe officially passed his torch to LeBron or something.

I think all eyes will be on LeBron to not only finish out his career, but to continue the mamba legacy once he retires.

It was a college baseball coach John Altobelli and his wife with their daughter. They Left a son and a daughter.

they were heading to a basketball tourney that their 13 year old daughters were meant to play today. They cancelled all events after the news.
Atm they haven’t Named the pilot and the other 3 persons on board the helicopter crash.
Earlier they were rumors that all Kobes daughters and Rick fox were in the crash but that was quickly stated as fake and false.

RIP Kobe Mamba and Gigi Bryant

Also I didn’t like the video of LeBron crying at the airport idk but to me that seemed so fake and planned. It’s just me maybe but the news here didn’t need to show that.

Grown men and women who only know Kobe through the tv screen are crying and you are saying that someone who knew Kobe personally for over a decade crying is fake? What’s your problem?

    Yea whatever man.
I am aloud to have my own opinion. I said I didn’t t like how the news handle that and to me it looked fake. Because right as he was coming out he had a tissue and was then hugged by someone else on a bird eye view. So yea the clipped looked fake as in it looked planned. I if u didn’t see my post before that whatever. I really couldn’t care less about what you think.
And as you said it’s about Kobe not LeBron no need to show that video right now.

There are still three unnamed people who were on that helicopter.
