If you absolutely have to have one now that one looks fine. If you can wait then your best bet may be to wait until the ryzen 4000 laptops are released. Prices on current ryzen and Intel laptops are sure to fall when that happens.
This looks great, I mean it's a lot better performance than the early systems discussed and it has a PCIe SSD (much faster than some of the other SSDs discussed earlier. So it should be very fast in comparison to some of the earlier notebooks discussed and also have a much faster processor than discussed earlier. Here is how the processor stacks up against an i5 8th Gen - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lenovo-I...GB-Storage-Platinum-Grey-81FB00HKUS/273186587 Very close, so I think this will be good, and again if issues just return it. Obviously building one would get you even more bang for your buck but if you want it to be portable this looks good, great find.
I am glad you did not mention the different SSDs that would have sent me down a different rabbit hole. Yeah I though I could get a steal by getting refurbished but the price was about 50 dollars different so I went new.
Dell has some refurbished computers on sale for 50% off. https://www.dellrefurbished.com/lap..._brand=362&filter_memory=81&filter_model=1665
Haha, right, there's a lot more to SSDs but the one you got is perfect and a lot faster. Let me know if you have any other questions! And again this is a great find, so definitely agree over going the other route, this should be a great one.
Had the laptop about a week. It definitely starts up faster but when my old Computer was actually working it is not that much faster when watching videos or going from tab to tab. I downloaded some stuff and it took longer but I don't know if that was an internet issue or not. Overall I love the laptop, looks premium and I like that its backlit and has the soft touch keys. I love having a new laptop and I will keep it but I wonder if just a basic refurbed computer would have satisfied my needs.
Desktops are always better values because you can pick your own parts and assemble yourself. You also don't have to pay a premium for compact design parts and the cooling systems work better. I am building my dad a new comp for his birthday in Feb and I have already priced it out at $350 for all new parts.
FYI, this deal just came up from office Depot. 10th gen i7-1065 Lenovo for 450. This deal is smoking if you are still able to return yours and have upped the budget a bit. https://slickdeals.net/f/13823879-l...me-onyx-black-81vw0020us-449-91?src=catpagev2
