    This exactly.

it’s not just that we want to trade him just to trade him. We have bigger problems like MDA or our owner. But he is the only piece that could bring help for Harden and Russ. We need a big man that could shoot inside the paint or at least decent on 3pt. We also need wings. We need at least 2 or 3 players that can shoot better than the guys we have and if possible a 3&D guy.

Teams are not just double teaming Harden even sending three guys at him and other guys can’t make open shots. They will keep doing this until we get help. I wish we could trade Gordon too

I really don’t think there are any realistic trades that will make the Rockets into a contender. If the Rockets don’t want to trade Harden or Westbrook, then our options seem few. The Rockets need to be careful not to dig themselves into a hole so deep that it makes a rebuild almost impossible for years to come.

the fundamental flaw appeared to be noticeable after 2016-2017 season when our 2 defensive wingman left, the whole system designed aiming at gsw's gradually collapsed
And as you said cc has turned out to be the odd man in our squad who only dominant and play well in those games or minutes don't matter.

But even those guys basically done nothing since they left. That was probably both of those guys' last year to be dependable contributors on championship team.

The issue is that the Rockets were great for a spell at bringing in and developing young players, most 2nd round picks. But they have a coach who is poor at integrating rookies and they gave up so many of those players/assets to get Paul and then Westbrook as well as to get rid of bad contracts; that they haven't been able to find though diamonds in the rough.

To maintain a championship window with a few players eating most of the salary cap, you need to develop young talent. Where is it? House? Maybe Hartenstein? That's not enough.

Morey is too incompetent to pull off a multiple-team trade. He's failed every time he's tried.

Did y'all forget him in Utah? I mean he is what he is but at 18 mil that isn't the issue. If he was paid 25 something then we got issues. Guy is being paid average big man money and he does what is needed. He has issues with some bigger guys like dwight and mcgee. So get us a younger big man that can deal with them.
Our pg is a blackhole close to 40 mil. Trade his ass first!

why trade Clint? so our entire team can be under 6'7"? he's one of the few players that's actually doing his job. Houston needs all of the size it can get.

Hard disagree here. Unless we are being silly enough to want Harden gone? He is essentially an extension of Harden's game and dominance. And he was grabbing like 20 rebounds a night before injuring his heel and a few other injuries. I fully expect him to get back to that or close.

The goal is how to get them to play to their potential at the right time. How to get Harden dominate in April/May, and how to get the Capela we saw before his heel injury in April/May. Harden/Capela are a package deal imo, and they are the best hope we have to win a chip. This losing streak hasnt changed that for me.

he's a pogo stick without a brain, without a heart, without bball skills

since getting paid his level of intensity has cratered and he hasn't improved any facet of his game

i literally hate watching him consistently get outworked and make dumbass decisions game after game quarter after quarter, in a rockets jersey
