Wish we had either of the Morris twins, maybe even both. They are both shootings 40+% from the 3 this season on 4+ attempts a game. They can get a bit wild but we need that kind of enforcer on this team as well in the playoffs.
The Harden double teams are taking their toll. He’s out of rhythm and the wide open teammates like House, McLemore, Gordon and Tucker are bricking their shots.
The margin for error is slimmer but it can work and may well have worked had ownership listened to their GM and held onto Anderson to trade for a player or two. Instead ownership decided to avoid the tax so the Rockets are left with 3 starters (Harden/Westbrook) and two quality bench players (Tucker/Gordon) and nothing else. Not only did ownership not go into the tax... they wasted draft picks to get out of the tax and then actually refused to pay the going rate for assistants. At least 75% of this is on ownership... I personally think it is closer to 95%.
I don’t see how the Rockets ever contend again with Tilman. Sounds dramatic, but he refused to pay up and try to improve the team for the best player and GM he’ll ever have during their prime contending years. If he won’t try to win during this golden opportunity he was given, he never will.
In general, What do you see in Sumo? 'large' athletes. What do you see in horse racing? Jockeys; 'small' athletes. What do you see in NBA? Tall dudes. We shouldn't be allergic to tall players.
Yet we don't talk about the 120 pts plus we give up. Our lack of defense is the #1 problem. We play the 1st 2 Quarters and then in the 3rd Quarter we have a major let down and teams score 30 plus. At some point you have to get consistent stops!

Our team has become 1 dimensional because of a 1 dimensional game plan. We complain that the likes of Tucker, Mclemore, Rivers, EGo and House can't do anything except spot up for 3 but when that's all they've ever done and trained for, they aren't going to be able to do much else.
The issue has been the role players who have lived off harden gravy train are now being asked the step up and are failing miserably. Teams all know this team has sever lack of depth. Get the ball out of Hardens hand and get the role players to hit shots or create and they are failing miserably.plus don’t give me the system nonsense. Mclemor and the likes of house have no business being starters and key contributors on a contender.They are just not good enough under any system. The lakers have the likes of Pope and Kuzma coming off their bench. Clippers have Lou and trez off their bench. Tillman has a choice to make either bite the bullet and go over the tax or stick with this first round fodder squad. You are on the clock. Time to shut up and listen
Okc plays Rockets at 4pm tomorrow. If they slap Rockets around again, here in Houston, someone will need firing. Coaches and players. Rockets need to figure out what to do when Harden gets double teamed. Until they do, all teams will double team Harden, and watch them fall apart like a cheap Walmart 5 dollar watch. I will watch game wishing, but not expecting a win. Okc is only 3 games behind Houston.
