    As a 30 year Rockets fan I feel this is the year. Harden is at his peak though he surprisingly keeps getting better and the Westbrook style of player usually drops hard after 32 and Tuck, Gordon getting older as well. The West is WIDE Open.

    If the team doesn't go for it now, our window is shut by end of next year anyway. We need defensive length at the 4 that can somewhat spread the floor and defensive intensity and quality role players

    Three years from now with James at 33, Westy at 34 and Gordon at 34 eating up most the Salary Cap we are DONE for years. This is THE YEAR.

    Screw the first rounders as we're not a rebuilt type team anyway and have an opportunity to win it all. Need to leverage the future for this year. This team is thin and shorthanded and an additional player would put us over the top.

    If there is a year to pay the tax it is this year that we can win. If Tilman does this,pays the tax and wins a championship he will be a legend in Houston forever. The opposite of Bud Adams. He pushed for the Westbrook trade and if he dips into the luxury tax for this year and goes for it hard he will be loved and adored in Houston. He seems like the guy that wants that. One year of Luxury Tax and a championship will give him so much in Houston that he can live off of that for the next 10 years.

    If he or is people is reading this it is an investment into the BRAND, an investment into is reputation.

    He will be elevated. But this year, he must find a way to pay. We have the assets just need some more depth at the 4/5 in terms of a Covington, Morris, Love type. Find a way, reach into those pockets and make an investment in a luxury tax that will create a ton of organizational and reputational value that will last a decade. Hell he could put his son as the GM if he pays the tax and gets us a championship and we wouldn't care!

    All in Time!

    It's hard to go all in when we're financially strapped by the luxury tax.

    At this point, just pray that Capela, EG and House play above their pay grade.

    Funny that Milk Hair actually let Mook play the shooting 4, he has been that mostly ever since.

    I’m not sure how the rockets go all in? Even if Tillman was like sure let’s spend $200 million.

    they have limited assets to trade.

    this group, even with help, wound have to be hot for a month and half period that is rounds 2,3,4 to win a ring.

    they need:
    * Legit forward. More than just solid 3&D guy. But if not a legit guy than at least that.
    * bench upgrades
    * better defense all around
    * better coaching

    with all of the above it’s still not a guarantee. Lakers and Bucks are legit dominant teams at this point, both on pace for 65+ wins. Get all or a lot of the above and then probably you could put rockets in that top tier group maybe.

    Then there’s a bunch of squads in the rockets area that they could go down to any of them.

    it’s just pretty bad roster balance.

    lol it's been all in time for the 3rd year in a row now. last year they refused to spend with an atrocious offseason to get a quality bench and gave up assets for LTS. this year is LTS the sequel with the repeater reset. Tilman isn't going all in. you shouldn't expect it.
