Some of the usual suspects (players) already squawking... bauer, cleavinger, justice... its going to be a long season.
You’ve got this all wrong. The only thing I’ve been worried about with this team as the years of success extend is maintaining motivation. Something tells me the 2020 Astros aren’t going to have any trouble in that department. It’s going to be them against the world.
It's ridonk. They believe this to be true because altuve was protecting his jersey from being torn off( speculating there was a wire in there and altuve didn't want it to be revealed lol). Those peeps never saw the game way early in the Spring where they tore Altuve's jersey off.
Bummed I don’t have XM. Would LOVE to hear Kalas/Blum spit some knowledge at the people. If someone posts a link or transcription I think this entire board would be eternally grateful. @J.R. ??
They would have to do it every time. The first time a player doesn’t do it it becomes hard evidence that they were clearly wearing a wire.
Not scandalous technology related, but Scott Brosius' son made (and then walked back) an allegation that Mike Trout is using HGH as a way to control his thyroid. The dirty laundry is flyin around the league folks.
Googled Blum a couple of days ago and noticed he has a podcast called Bleacher Blums. Put out an episode yesterday on the recent fallout, I thought he made two interesting points I haven't seen anywhere else. First, if Manfred wants to hold Hinch / Luhnow responsible for management maybe he should have held the Yankees and Red Sox responsible instead of warning the teams not to do it and issuing threats for "next time". If that happened we probably don't get here with the Astros. Second, saying he wasn't going to punish players and then putting Beltran's name in the report was extremely disingenuous by Manfred.
