This is dumb. The Patriots have been caught cheating on multiple occasions and no one remembers them as cheaters. Once all this blows over and we win another ring, it'll be a short lived "asterisk" to the title. Time heals all.
I could totally believe there's some under the table agreement, that MLB would not strip the title if Luhnow and Hinch were fired.
Why fire them? Crane: I felt with what came out in the report, they both had responsibilities. AJ on the bench was aware. He didn't endorse it, neither did Jeff. Neither started it but neither did anything about it.
Or they're being scapegoated. The League is making an example regardless of the severity of the "crime." Honestly, though, I think I'm just as mad at the team for choking away a title this year, because now there is just this one championship for everyone to attach an asterisk to, deserved or not.
I don't think either Hinch or Luhnow will ever work in baseball again. Maybe that's an overreaction in the moment, but I can totally see that being the case.
Wow. Surprised it went into the 2017 playoffs... Still think it’s our title but it’s definitely an asterisk as far as rest of league is concerned.
Crane just said they accept all the findings and the punishment....he's not appealing anything, and they're both fired.
