I meant back then when we drafted both of them. But I have it on good authority that Hartenstein is considered untouchable. You can read about it in my newsletter.

Pathetic ownership leads to pathetic moves. Get used to stuff like this, Rockets fans. It’s the norm going forward.

Melton would have been even better here with teaching him, even if it was just one year of it.

Why I hated Melton being given away.

    Stupidity.

Remember when our GM gets fired, who to blame for this.

When Paul pulled his hamstring could Melton have kept us going into the finals? Think Sam Cassell

Considering that Melton wasn’t drafted until *after* that season, I’d have to say NO.

Definitely one of the worst Morey trades. We got nothing back on the court, and we paid a high price to get rid of Ryno's contract. Having said that, I think it has to be mentioned that, even if we had kept him, he would be on the "Dmo Zone" for biggest debate around playing time. There is only so much a rookie guard can play on a Harden, Gordon, CP3/Russ team coached by D'Anthony.

Morey isn't completely free of fault here, he's made consistent errors by overpaying for players when there is no competition on the market knowing how cheap our owners are. If the incompetent Lakers front office can build a 60 win team while being 13mil under the luxury tax, then Morey shouldn't have an excuse.

Ownership is the biggest competitive advantage or disadvantage in the NBA.

The Rockets, unfortunately, have one of the worst.

The Lakers being a contender has a lot more to do with Lebron choosing the city and outside business interests than the brilliance of their ownership and front office. You think they would have AD demanding to be traded there without him? They were also able to tank for several years.

at least the Rockets have Harden which alleviates our problem somewhat.

Texans organization/owner seems fine with handing all the power to a sht coach who can't even do his job properly.

Having Harden does not alleviate the problem of our owner wasting multiple trade assets to improve the team to save himself some money.

    Another LTS casualty

Rockets saved $3.4 million in salary and $7.9 million in luxury tax for a total savings of at least $11.3 million.

    Awesome
