Appropriate/Normal age difference for dating?

There are pros and cons to this. One night stand, sure. But honestly, all I see when I look at women that age is baby fat. And good luck understanding them. I have to tell my son to speak English because even words like Yes have turned into 'Ye'

OTOH, if PornHub is a good bar, gag reflex no longer exists.

 

It is probably more about what stage of life you are both in rather than age (although I don't think the ages you quoted are that far apart, honestly).

If she's in college, and you're out in the world working, that may be a bigger hurdle than if she's already on her own and you are both working...if that makes sense.

My Brother in law is 63. His wife is 20+ years younger. They got married around 15 years ago.

I'm not sure I've ever asked a girl how old she is, since I was about 20. Huh.

It comes up/out later of course, especially when you're an actual grownup, but that's a weird thing to initially focus on.

It's weird for me when one could be the other person's child.

Mother had me at 19, had my first child at 19, so when I see 40 year olds with 20 year olds I think of a parent-child relationship, and actual relationships for that age difference seem gross.

There's something seriously wrong with this formula. Says I can't date women in their 20s anymore. But I can date women in their 70s.

If it ever became relevant for me again, probably the minimum age would be dictated by the criticisms my children would level at me. Hard to figure out what number that would be.
