Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones - he could carry entire episodes with his presence. Homer Simpson from the Simpsons - he's the most consistent and defining character from the longest running sitcom ever. Sure, the later years have dragged on, but when the Simpsons was in its prime, Homer was one of the main reasons it was one of the best shows on TV. Fox Mulder - The X-Files - The nerdy conspiracy theorist FBI agent that was often more right than wrong with the unknown, he was played perfectly by David Duchovny. Captain Jean-Luc Picard - Star Trek: TNG - I think that Star Trek: TNG was ahead of its time while it ran in the late 80s/early 90s. Some of the single best TV episodes ever (not just sci-fi) are from the run, and its usually because of Captain Picard. Roseanne Conner - Roseanne (original run). Took sitcoms out of the upper and upper middle class households that had dominated the 80s and 90s and really lent a more gritty, real world character to a classic sitcom. Special Mention: Ron Swanson - Parks and Rec
